That depends. If we were sure that we'd have him for 3 seasons and no less then yes. but Rafa has said that his plan is to have us contending for top honours in 3 seasons time. whats the point in buying figo if we only have him for one season. we'd only have to find a replacement for him anyway!

When we had gary mc we won the treble but I dont think figo is a gary mc type yer hes got loads of experience but not in the prem I dont think it would be a good idea to get him wouldnt mind shearer tho for 2 seasons hed bang some goals in for us thats what we despreatly  need at the moment who ever is coming will be a prem player already I feel just wonder who it is?

This poses an interesting question. An established giant of football may be joining us, but a) is he worth it? and b) do we need another midfielder? Our list in the middle is already incredibly strong. Gerrard, Hamman, Alonso, Nunez, Finnan, Kewell, Garcia, Warnock, diao and biscan. We also have le tallec and Diouf on loan. This multiple choice would have many managers drooling.

We know that Figo was part of, and indeed the star of Portugals Golden generation and he has played at such clubs as Barcalona and the mighty Real. He reached the finals of 2004 so there must still be more in him and he looks dynamite still at the bernabeau. Like so many others he is firstly a club player and then a countryman. In most circumstances I would welcome him.

However, with the current situation at Liverpool, I would much rather see the money spent on a top draw centre half or a striker. It just makes more sense.

But I wouldn't say no!

I don't know, if we are spending 10m we want the player to be a bit younger. Maybe if the money is on the table after champs league qualification it wouldn't be bad, the other 4m could go towards another defender if the board allowed it.
If we got Figo for the right then I don't think we would need anymore striking options as we would have a host of attacking midfielders, with Kewell and Garcia both capable of playing upfront.
