Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Kewell has got greatness in him. I dont know if we will see it in a red shirt though... Will have to really get behind the lad next season, make him feel loved, he is that kind of player i feel.

Yea, I think we need to stop talking sh*t about harry.  Maybe he will turn it around and be a fan favorite or something.

Harry Kewell I have heard this all before about him "He will come good" non-sense. Yes maybe he will become good, but I keep on hearing these same comments over and over again and it is getting rather dire to say the very least. If Kewell is injured or just recovered then why play him? Why not give him a few reserve games under his belt and see how he goes? Because with this injury crisis going on and on, he is costing us valuble subs places and it is like playing with ten men when Harry plays, because you just know that he will come off injured. There is no doubt in my mind of Kewell's talent and his heart is in the right place, but these injuries that occur on and off are starting to get suspicious. I am becoming increasingly annoyed at Harry and the fact that his Austrailian Coach keeps sticking his nose in is another annoying factor.

Sell him to the highest bidder, he's a liability and poor example to the younger players.

He's had 'one more chance' more than most players do.  I can forgive players for making mistakes but not for not trying.

I have been one of many who thinks Kewell has been a waste of space, maybe he has honestly been injured when not playing because i cant understand why the hell you wouldnt want to play football.

But if it does come down to the lazy thing .Well if playing for Liverpool and earning 60 grand a week doesnt motivate you then surely you should hang up ya boots.

If what you say is true then he doesn't have the right mentality!!  If this was true Rafa would have tossed him out the door along w/ Diouf !!  I feel sorry for the guy, I mean he's been injured and still wants to play, but whenever he tries everyone is givin him stick.  Now I understand football is a high pressure sport, but to have the fans turn against you is just too much.  Let's get behind him and let him show us his "A Game"

Harry doesnt spit at fans and fellow proffesionals and Diouf was a disgrace to football.Thats probably why Rafa got shot of him.
But in terms of work rate i honestly believe Diouf grafted more for the team when playing.
And why was Rafa so perplexed at Kewells injury problems during the season?
I  hope Harry can produce the goods coz i reckon he has one more season under Rafa and then hes gone.

For the days leading up to the signiture of kewell signing for liverpool i was hoping he would come to us, i thought he was going to sign for barca or manu, i was checking the teletxt evry min of the day,
personaly i thought he was the best midfeilder around the way he played for leeds was incredible the things he did for that club, so in the end as we all know he signed for liverpool, i dont know what has happened to kewell but he is nowhere the same player as he was for leeds i know he has been injured quite alot, he loses the ball far to often about 1 in every 10 balls he crosses into the box finds a red, as far as i am concerned ha has already peaked and he peaked at leeds.

when i saw that he was in the starting line up in the champions league final i thought no way whats rafa upto, so i watched kewell to see how he would play and he played like a sunday pub club football team player lol :Oo:, i know i might be a bit hard on him but he wasnt injured when he was subbed i personally think that he didnt want to be part of a losing team in the final, at that stage of the game even i thought milan were going to put a crickey score on us.

kewell has blamed his lack of abilities due to injuries like i said i think he has alreay peaked, most people say give him another season at anfield i say sell sell.

I agree with you john craig- he looked the biz on his arrival, but then the injuries came along-
I dont know about him having the bottle to give it all for a full season though, but if rafa feels he can do a job for us then we must give him the chance,
If he can get back to anything near his leeds form we may still have a great player on our hands- time will tell- but I do believe his time to prove it should be well and truly limited to this season.
Its in his own hands -
But if he starts the season as a liverpool player then we must give him as much support as we do the rest

Rafa has given the guy a second chance, so whenever we like it or not, he's staying...to januarary at least.  If the guy has been injured, then i do feel sorry for him because he's put off surgery, tried to get fit so he can play, only for him to get injured again.  The guy had his groin muscle snap during the CL final and it wouldn't matter who you are, you cannot play through that.  Hence the guy had an oporation a day or so later to fit it.  So, he's injury has been fixed, he's in pre-season and getting fit.  FFS people, lets wait to see if the real Harry can come through before we slag the guy off for the 10000000th time.

Damned if you do and damned if you don't with most of you lot. Give the guy a break. He's had a horrendous year and all you want to do is ride him. Is this just some sort of Anglo-Australian bashing opportunity...a handy whipping boy perhaps? I hope Harry has a screamer of a year (and you lot should do if only for the sake of Liverpool F.C.). If he does come out with all guns blazing, I'm going to be the firt one on here to say...TOLD YOU SO!!!

It also demonstrates what little faith you have in Rafa...yet you'll sing his praises from the roof tops. Does anyone else see the hypocrisy here?

Get over yourselves...w@ankers!!
