I just spent half an hour reading the posts from when i last entered this thread. My word, the speculation is flying thick and fast. Some of the players we have been linked too and even considering where they would fit in the squad is just silly.

At least this post above says its dreaming.... yes i can see it now :grinning:

yeah your right but we havent got any interest in saviola anyway so it doesnt matter although i wouldnt mind seeing him here

i prefer having Dirk Kuyt as Saviola doesn't have a great scoring record for the past few year.

Senegal star being investigated

El-Hadji Diouf is under investigation by the Dakar police after an incident on Monday involving alleged assault.

Aicha Ba was allegedly attacked by the former African Player of the Year in a nightclub on Monday. Ba is said to have had a relationship with one of Diouf's international team-mates. She accused the Bolton Wanderers forward of initiating "acts that were intended to humiliate" her.

A police spokesman in Dakar confirmed to BBC Sport on Thursday that they have commenced investigations into the allegations.

"A police commissioner is currently looking into the case," the spokesman said.

rafa has only signed cheap players so far, players on frees, young players on loan, only reina was a real fee. we should still have quite a bit to spend. maybe rafa is getting ready to spend it on someone big? i hope so

Big money? Peter Crouch could be £8m, add a defender for £4m-ish and that should just about be it for our transfer budget.

Not saying I approve of Crouch, but it could be where the big money is going...

Here are today's gems!!! Probably about 1% accurate...but always fun to pick through the rumours at this time of year!!

1. From a reliable source - Figo and Upson signing for Liverpool. Benitez to invoke 9m buy back clause for Owen -all by Weds next week.

2. Just got off the phone to a very reliable source at Anfield telling me that two huge signings are imminent. He has let me know the names of the two players and I'm over the moon. To make it fun for other LFC fans I will give you some clues in the form of riddles. 1) See the giant in red with his suspension that has come quick at the cafe. He is likened to the dwarf at the Mestalla. 2) It is not wrong when he adds excitement by the sea. N-othing is missing? (this is annoying isn't it!! I can't bloody work them out...anyone else???)

3. Heard from a reliable source that Liverpool are trying to get Michael Owen for 10m and Baros is going to Lyon with Essien comming to Anfield for 18m as part of the deal. Aimar, Milito and Figo also to sign by the end of next week

4. liverpool will sign figo on one year deal.and upson will be coming + kewell going other way and saviola will also sign on a free,rafa saving money for january on double swoop for evre from monico & milito

5. Sir Alex makes offer to liverpool of 9 million + phil neville for Riise and if that fails will offer Chelsea Alan Smith or Louis Saha on loan for William Gallas or Smertin.You heard it hear first!

Can anyone work out those riddles?
