From polish papers : part of interview with Jerzy.

With recent signing of Reina Jerzy had a talk with Rafa. Rafa told Jerzy that he'd like him to stay, but if Jerzy receives some offer and L'pool board agrees he's free to leave.

Jerzy : "I realise that You don't pay that high sum of money to sit the player on the bench (Reina). Recently I said that I'll fight for my place between the posts, because I thought that I've proven my worth. Now I see it differently, I could fight for nr 1 spot but I'm too tired."

It seems that Jerzy's off to other club (Feyeenord - swap deal ??).
Shame, I wish him all the best and I hope that Reina will prove that he's worth nr 1 spot.

I think the end is nigh for old Jerzy, unless he really wants to stay.

In some ways I wouldn't blame him for leaving. In his time we have signed 5 other goalkeepers - Kirkland, Luzi Bernardi, Jones, Carson and Reina - one of which was signed on the same day Jerzt signed (and for a deal worth up to £9m).....hardly a vote of confidence in him, was it?

no he wont reina is class

and though i have been a critic of dudek i fell bad for him he has put in a fight and one can understand why his tired...

I also feel for jerzy- but overall he can cost us 15 points a season with his not to rare blunders.
ive replayed the final a number of times now and he was still the usual mixture of brilliance and farce.
There cant be any sentiment if we really want to get the title back to anfield,
jerzy will find a new club no probs-
Lets just hope its the one with a certain forward we want-
A swop plus cash deal would be great for all parties, and jerzy who has never complained could move on with all our best wishes for the service he has given us

Jerzy basically owed us a performance like that, but its not gonna make him a better keeper at his age im made up for what he has achieved at us but Reina and Carson are gonna be 1 and 2 next season so its best he moves on.....At least he will know he left on the biggest high of all and not after a mistake.....Westerveld anyone???

Oh and im right up for a part ex with kuyt

Looks like a Part-ex deal could be on to get Kuyt, that would mean we could shove Crouch up Rupert Lowes a**, for asking to much money for him, christ he would go up a long way??

Shame ! He is paid quite a lot and now he says that he is tired of fighting for the no 1 spot. Jerzy is great talent, who did some mistakes but since joining liverpool, he never had to fight for the spot as Kirkland was most of the time out injured.

Reina will definitely be no 1 between the sticks as he conceded only 10 league goals at home last season in La Liga, which is a great record for a goalkeeper in such a league.

its a shame but hes definately not going to get many games while reina is here, reina is class. excellent goalkeeper and we have got ourselves a good deal
