For the record i never wanted him to leave the club, but when he came out yesterday i was disapointed and felt betrayed like many fans did, and do not feel ashamed one bit for any comment i made, as all i cared and care about is the stability and future of Liverpool FC and dont care for players disrupting that.
I'm glad hes staying and hope its for the right reasons.

hmm it seems that Struan Marshall might have been the good guy in all of this, it looks like he helped Parry in geting steve to stay

No, Parry didn't say that the deal was done, he said the deal was "hammered" in so far as the two sides had agreed on everything, but the contract has yet to be signed.

Steven just released a statment to SSN. Basically thanking Struan for helping him, and convincing him to stay. I think initially SM may have been part of the blam but the other senior SFX members and the people from RM AND c were to blame. But its all over now.

I didnt slate you for sticking up for him, I slated you because your posts always seem to be contradicting one another and jumping from place to place - which just looks like a copy/paste job from somwhere else (at times) and used as your own, everybody has a consistency in their style of writing and type of points they make, YOU dont!!!

I know I wont have the same affection for him, anybody that needs to think' about staying as LFC player/captain (on 100k a week no less).
Yes he is a good player, but as a man he has definetly gone done in my estimation, and tbh the captaincy should still be given to Carra.

I'm sorry he has disgraced this club with his actions and just saw on SSN, he has just THANKED his agent......AGAIN goes to show THE MAN in my opinion, because the first thing he comes out and says is this as opposed to WHY he changed his mind etc;
No matter if he says he wants to be here for life the media circus will still continue.

Personally I think this have a BAD affect on TEAM morale, and HONESTLY i think RAFA will be p.issed, as he has to change his plans (possibly!) to pander to SG.

Change of heart, i said days ago that, he was treating us as a battered wife, and we keep going back...
HE is still gonna have the upper hand, because we are gonna give him the conract he wants, we were gonna let him go yesterday, then e wants to stay and we just say OK.
For me this shows weakness, i know others may be aghast at this, and feel we MUST keep him, but have you seen VIERA ply the same since he was linked with Real Madrid..HE AS NEVER BEEN the same......and i can see the same happening here(hope it wont)

And before any of you say anything like...'Oh I bet you will cheer if he scores a goal next season'......DUH, well of course i would, this is not a contradiction of terms or twwo faced, as he plays for LIVERPOOL, not himself, and will have scored for the TEAM that he plays for....If he score for LFC then of ourse i will cheer, however, that doesnt mean my views on the MAN will have chnaged, he has plenty to do to do that.....

Sorry if that was a bit long and sorry for any spelling mistakes am rushing this, as i am already late for work, but when i heard this news i had to say something....work will see me when i am good and ready!!! :laugh:
