Agreed Lee, yesterday our captain and local liverpool lad was leaving because he thought the club couldn't challenge for trophies (what Parry said on Sky) and people don't expect fans to be angry, anyone that expects me to be kool with that can kiss my ar5e :angry:

On another note I'm unsure how I feel at the moment, all I know is he better hadn't do this next season

I just hope this doesn't ruin his season. Not the best season last year after all the speculation.

I am happy he is staying, and I think he has realised just in the nick of time what SFX have been trying to do, I think he owes us na apolgy for putting the club and fans though this :censored:

He hasnt said anything personally so dont go and start misconcieving things. You dont even know why he wanted to leave. The important fact is that our skipper has now vowed to commit his entire future to LFC. That is the differenc between Steven Gerrard and Ronaldo and Zidane and Figo and David Beckham. Hes proved it again he loves this club, his home club. As i said it must have been somethign explosive for him to come out and say that so soon after he lifted the trophey and we dont know what this is. Quotes coming out on SSN now: Stevies thanking Struan Marshall for convincing him to stay.

Until he signs a new long contract anything can happen, including going through this again next year. He's stayign but how commited is he to LFC after making that statement yesterday about leaving. This is two summers now where he has come close to leaving us for Chelski, which dosent bode well for someone thats 100% comitted to the team. Maybe if he comes out in the press confrence and declares that he wants to stay with LFC for life then i'll be happy to know we have a player that aint going to mess us around again next year.
For the record i never wanted him to leave the club, but when he came out yesterday i was disapointed and felt betrayed like many fans did, and do not feel ashamed one bit for any comment i made, as all i cared and care about is the stability and future of Liverpool FC and dont care for players disrupting that.
I'm glad hes staying and hope its for the right reasons.

won't crop up agian next season? Stevie G really should have a press-conference at Melwood today to address the fans and apologise for putting us through all of this, and committ ot the club forever!
