Let's not forget that he could've gone out on loan in January after Rafa told him he wasn't part of his first team plans. Instead, he asked to stay at Liverpool, won his place in the team on merit (albeit aided by our various injuries), and played some absolutely cracking stuff in the CL for us.

Without Igor, there is no doubt in my mind we would not currently be the Champions of Europe. Good luck mate, and I hope that wherever you go that you get the chance to play in front of an Anfield crowd sometime so that you can be given the ovation you deserve.

Yeah, so he wasn't consistent, but that takes nothing away from the fact that he can play, and on his day he's an absolutely storming central midfielder. I just hope he finds himself some regular first team football, and preferably not somewhere where he can come back and do some damage against us!

He became something of a laughing stock near the end of Houllier's reign, but he's had the last laugh because he's leaving with his head held high thanks to a CL medal.
I for one won't forget the way he brilliantly created Garcia's goal against Leverkusen (was that really him?),best of luck to you.

IGOR,IGOR!! :bowdown

Good luck to Igor he's really pulled his socks up this season and performed and was instrumental in our run to the champions league final and I wish him all the best. Even though I sometimes thought it was gerrard in an igor costume and not igor himself he has done us proud and he could do alot worse than lazio.
A Cult Hero is you ast me!! :D

Everyone warmed to Igor and in the end he put in a few gutsy performances to finish on a decent note. From a football perspective, the decision for Rafa was easy and inevitable. Despite being a cult hero, he simply was not good enough for Liverpool. Gone, but never forgotten I imagine  :)

Lets' hope we see more of his 'mazy runs' in the future....that lad has had me in stiches more than once!

Personally, i'll miss seeing his car in the Centenary car park before the game. No flash SUV/Ferrari/X5 for IGOR, just a car that wouldn't look out of place in his native Croatia! :p

Dunno AB, can't say i've seen Croatia recently, but i'm sure there are more there than in my surroundings (apart from the standard X5 owned by the D.D, but what can you do...):p

Just pointing out that Igor seems to be a down to earth lad...
