Biscan not offered new contract - Good luck igor!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby fivecups » Wed Jun 08, 2005 11:03 pm

I thought Biscan did enough last season to earn a short contract extension - 1 or 2 years or so. Some of his European performances in the holding midfield role were quality and when he broke and drove forward through the midfield he could be difficult to defend against.

He always struck me as a player who would be willing to accept being a squad player only but maybe thats wrong, anyway, he was a decent loyal Liverpool player and I wish him the best wherever he goes - he'll have no bother finding another club.

If RB let him and hamman go .... I bet that he will give Diarra and John Welsh to play ....

Rafa's already invited Diarra back to the club to earn a place. Personally, i'd welcome him...

it says it all doesn't it? if this was last summer we'd all have been saying "about time, fek off!". but know we're mostly all a bit sorry to see him go. we've seen him play the way we know he can but we know that there is really no place for him in the new liverpool. football can be a cruel business.

i've just been having another look at that set up for garcia's goal v bayer. class or what?! if that was gerrard it would be on the compilation of his finest moments at the end of his career.

i'm gonna miss the constant look of bewilderment on his face. good luck igor. come and visit some day.

i think the amount of best wishes being posted show how much people have taken to Igor this year, as he has improved on the pitch and his attitude has been first class. A year ago i would have been over the moon with the news that Igor was leaving, but now i feel a bit sad to see him go, but ultimatly i think it is the correct decision to let him leave. Good look in future Igor wherever you go :)
