Now that McManus has sold his shares to Glazer does anyone think he might be interested in investing in Liverpool.
I know he is a supporter ( and I know he is a moneyman). Owns a horse called YNWA.

So why was he a Utd shareholder? I doubt we need the money THAT badly!!!lol!!! We do need some dosh, though, and fast. Up the 'pool!

Could have sworn I can recall McManus joking that he supports Arsenal around the time he bought his United shares. Either way the only reason he bought shares in United is because he could smell money. It made me laugh when some United fans I know said McManus and Magnie would stay loyal to United and not sell to Glazier. Those guys never gave two hoots about United (as demonstrated by their relationship with Fergie). They just care about making money.

On the BBC website a United fan was quoted as saying that Glaziers buy out is another sad day for football following the emergence of Abramovich. Ironic coming from the football club (oh sorry PLC) who were the first to jump on the gravy train.

Uniteds predicament makes me proud of Liverpool Football Club....run by men who love the club.

Makes me laugh to hear the scum supporters crying. Where do they thing the success of the past ten years came from? In came from investors moneyturning them from a football club into a PLC. Now the devil has come looking for the soul he bought and there is nothing they can do about it. Wonderful.

I never thought the day would come that i feel sorry for united fans but today i do. I would feel so :censored:

off if this happend to liverpool as i imagine everyone here would. It just goes to show you how modern day football is a souless money making buisness.

Dont think its the fans fault realy, they didnt put the club on the stock market.

This could be bad news for the whole of the premier league. The rumour is Man Utd may pull out of the sky deal in order for them to have there own t.v deal. This would mean that the value of the sky deal would be much less and smaller clubs could loose a LOT of money as t.v right generate millions each year for all the clubs in the premiership. I think then the other big clubs in the premiership may be forced to do the same thing(liverpool, arsenal, chelsea) because we would stand to loose aswell which would leave the smaller teams in the premiership crippled.

I no it might sound quite funny now that united could well be :censored:

but looking at the bigger picture this isnt just a bad day for manchester united, its a bad day for football aswell. Money is ruining football more and more everyday and to be honest the fact that someone can just buy a club in the way he has and for the reasons he has sickens me.

On the BBC news at 6, they were interviewing people from that buckaneers place, they never see him, they are doing really bad in the league, and he wanted a new stadium the people from the community and the fans had to pay for a new stadium worth 400 million, and he never put his hand in his pocket but hes living off it.
They reckon manu will go bankrupt because hes going to borrow about 800 million :oops:

imagine being in that much debt :sniffle

Bit of there own fault really not wanting to be F.C. but UNITED PLC isnt it?
They sold there club to the :devil:

Exactly, they've sold their soul to ol' Beelzebub himself and now it's coming back to bite them on the ar*e big time

I feel sorry for the genuine fans but have no sympathy whatsoever for the glory seeking bandwagoners who've appeared out the woodwork in the last 15 years.

Nah f*ck it, I hate absolutely everything that club stands for so the whole lot of them can go p*ss up a rope

I don't agree with columbia's point though about it being bad news for football as a whole - it may be bad news for some of the clubs who've gone plc, but those that haven't are still masters of their own destiny

But yeah money has had a nasty effect on football as a whole away from the top flight

Surely if Man U pull out of the Sky deal, the value to the other clubs will be the same. I doubt very much that the plc would allow other clubs to gain money off the scum. It makes no sense. Man U in administration!!!!teehee!!!!! Up the 'pool! :laugh:

JP McManus is from my city and an absolute legend. He came from humble beginnings, made a fortune and has donated loads in charity, built hospitals etc. He gave about €5m to our local Gaelic Football stadium.

His purchase of shares in Manu was a business decision as he thought they were well priced. He never kissed the badge, I love the club and all that stuff. He did nothing wrong.

I doubt he is a fan of any club as his favourite sport is hurling. He'd only buy LFC if he thought he'd make money out of it so I don't expect or want to buy it.
