Rumours about Orange being the new sponsers and putting a bit of investment in but nothing major, and rumours of some rich Irish company putting some money in the club, that rumour has also reacurred about the Sultan of Brunei.
But no one knows is no news good news? or are Rick Parry and David Moores scared of loosing there control?
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Once upon a time when the good ship LFC Titanic left Southampton with an empty cargo hold, near the end of its voyage for the season it was obvious that it was only going to finish fourth in it's race accross the sea, when it struck an Iceberg.
Houllier the Captain, along with the other crew from the bridge, were thrown overboard by the ship owner and its designer, when the ship crashed into the Iceberg.
A new Captain was enlisted from a passing Spanish Galleon, who brought along some of his crew. But before thay could take any effective action to steer the craft away from the Iceberg and repair the damage the navigator by the name of Owen who could strike the stars, jumped into the first lifeboat and left the unsteady ship.
The Chief Engineer had already said he was off, but changed his mind because he felt sorry for his mates in the fan's band and wanted to sail them to victory in the next race.
However, the next race season came and went, and with a replacement navigator called Baros, who could not find the stars and had no idea how to navigate out of trouble. The crew were severly exposed and were found to be entirely incompetent.
Meanwhile the boys in the fan's band played on, singing some wonderful songs and made some splendid banners, for an event with a passing ship with a Portuguese Captain fom the Thames, They even carried a portrait of the new Spanish skipper around the deck on a sunny afternoon until the rain came down.
The fan's in the band became restless the next weekend when a cold wind blew in from the direction of Newcastle and started to gather on the rear deck, where there seemed to be less water underfoot.
Meanwhile, Gerrard the Chief Engineer was heard to be uttering about taking the final lifeboat out for a test run, just to see if it floats and if it may be suitable to row to a passing ship with more chance of completing next years race.
While all this was going on, the owner and the designer were last seen squabling with a Liverpool Builder about the scrap value of the stricken ship and whether it could make it back to port to be re-built as LFC Anfield or indeed wether it might be worth more if were re-named.
Back in Liverpool, while all this fuss was going on, a new ship painted entirely in blue was being prepared for next seasons race, not very fasionable and powered by oars, but at looking as though it might be on the starting line before the famous LFC Titanic returned to port.
Meanwhile, the fan's in the LFC Titanic band were now getting a good view from the rear deck as the bow appeared to be slipping under water, but they still blew on their trumpets and sang, we will win the race to Europe this year.
But the Owner Moores and the Chief Designer Parry had by now thrown all the charts overboard and decided that the ship had a fatal design fault, which even the new Spanish Captain could not overcome in time to join next years race !
Is there a lifeboat out there loaded with finance ?

money is not always the answer to problems. the team in fourth place at the moment are not exactly awash with star names from the continent. they are doing well because they fight for every ball and dont believe they are ever beaten.
on paper our side is up there with anyones, names like gerrard, morientes, cisse, baros, kewell etc are high profile names that any big european side would have in their squads at least!
i think our problems lie off the field, the squad just dont get on. i think there`s a lot of unhappiness about gerrards stance in the press and his attitude towards teammates which culminated in kewell`s " we`re not a one man team " tirade in the press recently. i also think some players have half an eye on leaving like baros and hammaan which can be unsettling.
put simply we are a collection of individuals rather than a team willing to bust a gut for each other.
back in the eighties we won european cups when the top continental sides were awash with international superstars like maradona and zico because first and foremost we were a team.

They seem to have a feeling of being individuals, who will not be together as a team next season.
This just makes a financial injection more important.
For one reason or another we will probably need up to six capable replacements, which is probably circa £50m worth of players.
I am certain that Parry and sadly David Moores will not be with us in six months time :(

Lets hope their not!! this might be the wake up call we need?  we are going around in circles with moores/parry its time they moved aside and made way for fresh investment with more potential and greater capital to give rafa the funds to bring in class players with proven ability instead of has beens, and average players well past their sell by date? ???

Nobody seems to understand that lack of star names and bo money will only get you so far you cannot contend one year and the next be no bodies to become a truelly global investment ship you must spend money to make money even if the money spent is pitance compared tp some.

Moves must be made to ensure we attract the best players and keep all eyes on us for the right reasons, even bying the best of the talent and turniong them into star names is important but as yet this is out of reach, It's almost asif people see us as selling out by becoming once again a global  brand, Well do we want success or not.

Even if Everton won the prem people would still say "Oh yeh that team" and "Who plays for them again" cos nobody cares global is what we need.
