i never thought i'd say this but i am currently embarassed to be a liverpool fan. pompey have 15 first team players out and we are still absolutely sh#te. never mind. when the players actually look like they can be ars#e to play for the club i will start giving a sh#te about them again. at the moment they are an absolute disgrace with the exception of stevie g. get owen out now. he's not interested anymore. cheyrou is back to normal and our defence is lacking pace. houllier out now before we turn into a laughing stock.

We are already a laughing stock and have been for a while I reckon. Man U fans staying behind chanting Houlliers and all that, Tommo gets the p##s taken out of him every game we play. Its embarassing. And thats only the coaching staff, not to mention the guys he sends onto the field. Oh yer, and we got Freddie Boswell as chairman. Whats become of us lol.

Was Owen already thinking about life in Madrid when he took that penalty?
Can someone remind me of his penalty taking record, Even my missus said "Oh no not him" when michael stepped up to the ball   .

I`ve been following and watching english football for more than 30 yrs. L`pool has always been one of the clubs I`ve paid special attention to.
And I must say : They seem to be a team without belief, selfconfidence, structure or guts ! Football can`t be played one by one - that`s why it`s played as teams - you have to perform as one TEAM!! It`s not enough to have Gerrard - and by the way - I think he`ll be gone before Michael Owen.

I really hope we`ll see L`pool up there again - soon !   ???

owens penalty record must be about 50/50 i reckon. i knew he was going to miss judging by his laboured run up. it just looked like the penalty of a man who's had enough of playing for us, sad though it is.

Michael Owen has taken 19 penalties for Liverpool and out of them he has missed 9.This proves he has a better than 50/50 chance of scoring. To me it's a bloody disgrace and GH should have sorted that farce out last season but Michael pulls the strings whilst his contract is in the balance.

It wasn't long ago that Robbie Fowler missed a penalty that never was, against Arsenal. Everyone thought he was wonderful.
Owen has been betrayed by this management who continually ask players to do a job that they are not suitable for.
There are far too many players being played out of position or asked to do a job they are not suited to. Take Heskey - an out and out forward - played at left mid field and slagged off all match. He is no Ray Kennedy and Houllier is NO Bob Paisley. Why does he keep trying to turn a sows ear into a silk purse ?

Heskey is too inconsistent and at £11million pounds,he has become the biggest flop in English football history.Who would be willing to buy him now and for how much?

Calm down Bobster, there have been enough spats on this talkboard with newbies coming on board and questioning peoples' loyalty to the club. 95% of the posters are LFC to the core but we have to have a sounding board for our dissatisfaction at the current regime.

No matter what happens this season, or in the future, we will always be Liverpool but that shouldn't prevent us from criticising the club.

Hear, hear to "THIS IS LIVERPOOL FC AND WERE GONNA KEEP FIGTING UNTIL OOR TARGETS HAVE BEEN REACHED...    GO ON LIVERPOOL!!!!!!!!"........ :)
