Read on the official website earlier on the media watch page that Liverpool have been linked with Metzelder, the Borussia Dortmund centre half.

Apparently he's been out injured a lot in the last few years but has just returned to the side.

We'd maybe get him at a reasonable price as Dortmund are in so much debt.

He's young and any time I've seen him play Ive been very impressed. I think this is the type of player we should be looking at and I think he'd be a realistic target

Would be a very good addition to the squad given his age combined with his international experience. The injury situation though would be the only stumbling block in my opinion

quality centre-half, German international - defo worth a look, but this is all speculation - how many players do we actally sign who we are linked with? - 2-3%

Sign him but do a thorough nedical first. He should be a reasonable price. Maybe offer him a pay as you play contract untill he proves his injuries are behind him
