Baros picks up a possible injury?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I do think Diarra's situation will all depend on one man - Stevie. If he goes, I reckon Rafa will draft him back, regardless of if he wants to or not. The lad's probably been here twice since we signed him so it's only natural that he feels like the 'black sheep'.

Disagree. If Rafa was interested in Diarra playing then he would had recalled him in January. If Gerrard goes then Benitez will find a better replacement than Diarra.

lad, he might have done well in the WC qualifiers

Well they certainly haven't missed him, they haven't lost a game and are second place with a game in hand.

I'm sure (and hope) he will(well, I hope it doesn't get that far, but, you know). However, we have Biscan going, Diao will go, Hamann is on the latter stages of his career...I can't think of any other combatitive midfielder we have with as much experience. ???

Plenty of midfielders, not many that does the battling. Rosicky's great going forward, but will you see him tackling on the edge of his box?

I don't see Xabi as a long term defensive midfielder (who can pass a ball like a dream) - it's a waste. Besides, it's all theroertical as to if Stevie goes or not. :D

There are plenty, and I mean plenty of midfielders out there for us to buy that are good defencively, surely better than the likes of Diao,Diarra and Biscan.

Thier can't be many worse than Diao. I just can;t think of any decent ones at the min that would be suitable for us (or, I regrettably add, would come to us, Viera etc) ???

CORRECT!!!! Just an example tho. He's got The Joke Club on the brain, wishing that he'd gone to em.

At the minute, their is a real dearth of top draw players that could fill a player like Stevie's shoes, hense why i'm worried...???

On a different subject......

The Teranga Lions doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time when Diouf converted a penalty after Mamadou Niang was brought down in the box.

France-based Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye grabbed the third goal, heading home a Diouf freekick.

The hosts then got three quick goals late in the second half with strikes from Southampton's Henri Camara, Moussa N'Diaye and a second from Diouf.

Sould keep his price tag to about £5m.
