Sort your priorities out lad.

I could not go the game as I was going out to celebrate my frineds birthday !!! Thats absolutly superb.

Seems like a reasonable example to me. The feelings of my close friends counts for more than what some mug on a forum has to say, or said disgraceful performance v Blackburn.
I'm not suggesting 5000 people or whatever had birthdays on the same day but you get the idea.

Loyalty?

Before you question the fan's loyalty, think!

1. Michael Owen? Was he loyal?
2. Gerrard? Will he stay?

Face it. The players ONLY care about the money. That is their loyalty.

The fans actually PAY to watch them play. They turn up week in week out. Do NOT question fan's loyalty.

There are many more supporters who dont ever go to Liverpool games than actually go, you should ralise this great club has supporters from all over the Uk and the world.

it doesnt mean we are no more loyal than you who live in Liverpool and go to the home and away games, Im from down south ive supported LFC since i can remeber (im 33).

Its not your club cos you go to the games and are Scouse its all of ours club!

Unfortunatley the main reason there is empty seats and no atmosphere for some games is because the standard of football played by our so called big time players is lacking and has been for many years! we were clueless last night, and it mirrors many other games this season, especially at home where i agree with some other comments in this thread.

Sooner this season is  over and RAFA sorts some things out the better, but im not holding my breath, but if it takes 50 years for the good times to come rolling back, as long as im still alive ill be supporting LFC thats a true supporter!!!!

I know your p1ssed off Leon but their is a better way to put your message across than this. People have to work and have priorities mate, although I wish it wasn't true :(

i always thought our fans were the best, but judging by this bickering, im starting to think maybe not.

leon, u have valid points, but not everyone can get t every game. people do have other priorities.
Everyone on here has a valid point but the arguing has to stop people or this forum will be dead as the recent atmosphere at the games.
we are all anonyed by a poor season where weve either been class or just pure pants. its been a rollercoaster ride but the league is bitterly dissapointing. we need to all justchill and carry on supporting the team, however we can

Most scousers support "The blue ******"?.. been listening to "Everscum" fans have you? thats a load of boll..ks!.. I will say though there are an awful lot of "wools" in the kop.. they dont even realise that there are 2 verses to "you'll never walk alone" they start to clap after the first chorus.. the morons when will they ever learn?. :oh:

i suppose i have to agree with leon on this one its horrible to consider yourself a fan and not a supporter but hes probably right he would do everthing in his power to go he match and support his belovered team where as i would love to go the game to support them but i dont for variuos reasons and im quite happy to buy a shirt every season for me and my lad and buy the dvds and videos , i contribute a bit of money to LFCs coffers and i consider myself just as passionate about the club, but as someone who goes the game he has every right to be p!ssed off if he considers the support we are getting at the ground as ****** poor .There are priorities and priorities some of the excuses are laughable but there you go  it doesn't mean hes any better than me it just means that watching Lfc in the flesh means more to him than me.The truth does hurt sometimes but its alot better than lying thru your teeth just to get a point across IMHO.

I've given up winging about this season. I lost my cool after the Middlesboro game back in November and I haven't seen the point n getting worked up since (although Steven Gerrard occasionally gets me going).

I'm just going to sit back and watch the rest of the season unfold. I admit that its going to be very difficult to qualify for the Champions League next year but what will happen will happen. If we miss out on European football for next season then we'll just have to deal with it.

There will be major changes next summer at the club and I think next year has the potential to be positive. I have faith in Rafa Benitez and he has shown glimpses of his class this season. Contrary to what is happening this season we are lucky to have Rafa Benitez in charge and he will turn things around.

Yes, the team and players can drive us to distraction at times but at times like this we need to stand together and get behind the team.

i think judging the issue of loyalty on attendance at every game is missing the point. some fans get to make it and some don't - whether through apathy, finances, logistics or whatever. the real issue is that there are many who are fortunate enough to make the games and then don't support the team when they're there. i bet i make more noise in front of the telly than many do at the ground.

the bigger issue of loyalty will come at the end of the season. i think we will be very unlikely to be playing champions league football next season - and i can't even bring myself to write what is going to make that even more painful. it will be interesting to see how supporters/fans respond at the ground and on these forums then. i think that that is when we will see the true fans of the club standing out.
