Loyalty - A joke

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

When did I mention where the fans come from in any of my posts Maximus ??

Lakes when did I mention that you can not be a fan of LFC if you do not go to the game?

I questioned the loyalty of fans who decide that they can make the big games but cant make Blackburn home or Portsmouth home Wednesday nights.

If you live in Asia, then you obviously can not go to the game. However if you go the games against Everton and Manchester United, then why could you not go and show your support when it is needed on a cold Wednesday night against lowly Blackburn.

Yes the players where distinctly average last night, and I will/have vented my spleen about it in this and other threaads and forums.

However the fact of the matter is that fans who cant be bothered to make the effort to go the game cus its only Blackjburn, cus its Wednesday night and cus its live on Sky are just as bad as effortless players.

Totally with Leon.

The team were shocking last night. The movement and level of effort were simply unacceptable.

However... the "fans" last night? What a joke. Leaving early, leaving for half time to beat the ques for a hot dog, no passion, no atmosphere, no nothing. No-one sang ****** all last night and i got the usual idiot infront of me complaining all the way through the game and moaning thinking he knows better and then the dickheads around ya who TRY (but fail) to make ya feel like a ****** when ya singin an chantin on ya bill.

Balls to them all. Its the same as last year and the years before, the home record such a disgrace because the players are frightened of the abuse they get in there own stadium. Its just this year we haven't got the away form to drag us out of the ******. Its been like this for years, when the fans are behind the team (IE some europian nights) when do they EVER let us down?

Not often is it!

Not good enough.

People cant make every game my @rse.

As previous, I bet they would make the derby if it was last night.

Too many sunny day fans.

If someone had something very important to do on wednesday, they would have to put that above the Blackburn game, like say going out on a good mates birthday. However we know the Everton game is more important than anything, so they'd be like "you understand this is a big game I'll hook up with you later".
I think there is a difference, you obviously don't agree though.

So where exactly where the "fans" last night?

Some so called Liverpool fans make me sick. Wednesday night games are so often empty, and there is NO EXCUSE whatsoever for the so called fans who never bothered last night just cus it was on the TV.

I am sick of the idiots who pick and choose the games that they attend.

Ask yourself the following questions.

(If you live outside the UK, so you can not attend the game, then dont bother.)

1)  Are you going to the game on Sunday ?

2)  Did you go last night ?

3)  Could you not make it due to work commitments? Oh right, did you go the Leverkusen home and the Olympiakos home games ? Whats the difference ?

im sorry mate but some people have alot more important things to do,   football is not the most important thing in the world.    some people have work, some people have to spend time with their kids, some people have a wife to look after, and then maybe when they done all that they can concentrate on football and remenber some people just dont have the money to pay for the ticket

The problem is most scousers support everton,we have a large amount of fans from places in europe Ierland, Norway etc etc, you cannot expect people from other countries to travel to anfield on a wednesday night for a game against Blackburn.
And as for people who give OOters abuse without them anfield would be half empty never mind the new 60 thousand seater stadium.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Leon.. you are very very very funny....  d1ckhead
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Well, I think you can't force anyone to do the same Mr. Leon Fan No.1. That doesn't mean they are not supporters of the club. Honestly, if you only have money to spend on 1 game between the two, which one would you choose?? I guess maybe you are a multi millionaire or something. Some people need to feed their family. A Taxi driver maybe listening to the game while working and does that make him a lesser fan?? If I love something, I don't have to go around telling people about it. YOu can still enjoy yourself. If you are the only one in the stadium, I bet you will still be as loud and that's great. The fact is you are not them and they are not you. YOu just can't apply your standard to everyone. But I like your attitude and good to know LFC have a fan like you. Cheersmate!

Understand your point Leon and agree with it to a certain extent . I think however you are being a bit harsh on those fans who just don't have the money attend every game . As for fans from outside of Liverpool , if for example you live in London , to attend a midweek fixture means taking time off work which isn't always possible (if you want to keep your job) .
Like I said ,appreciate your point but this issue is not as simple as black and white .

ps . I was at our world club cup game against Flamengo in Japan , where the f'uck where you ?

I got to agree that ticket price is very expensive and it is not doing any good for the game. Perhaps there should be an off cut rate which the goverment will cover, say 10%. Afterall the EPL is the most watched league in the world.

a lot of this leon does have to do with expense, but in all fairness, the majority of top flight clubs suffer the same thing nowadays.

i live in middlesbrough as you know. they got 23,000 for their european match against sporting lisbon last week. considering it is their first ever season in europe that was an appalling turnout.

i think the most disappointing thing is that the people who weren't there last night were the same people who were absolutely desperate for a ticket for cardiff.
