That's just pushing it. I wouldn't sell La Tallec, I think he would be good squad player for us.

I've always rated diouf and now he's proven me right. the reason he didnt perform under houllier was the same reason why traore, riise, biscan etc flopped under houllier i.e. he's a terrible coach

But in terms of judgement, I think houllier's first class. He knows talent.

Before I digress further, as for diouf, let's give him another chance. If not for him then at least for lfc. After all, we splash 10m on the lad. Lets see rafa work his magic on him.

And the same applies to le tellac and cheyrou...

Its not that easy with his reputation and ours being ruined through him spitting.
If he would have played in his natural position when houllier bought him he could have been great for us.
But hes ruined his chances of ever coming back to Liverpool but in saying that, I wouldnt let Bolton keep one of our players when we are paying half of his wages.
They either cough up with the cash the transfer windows open now so if they want him 5 mill.
If not he comes back so not to help the enemy achieve anything.
But hes not to popular with Gerrard and Carra they hate him so I cant ever see him being welcomed back with open arms from the players nor the fans.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

i really don't want to see him back and i don't think we need him. all the players we have in forward positions i rate higher than diouf, maybe with the exception of mellor. but i'd rather see mellor in a liverpool shirt.

he's actually had 2 MOMs in recent weeks at bolton so must be getting a good rep there as a player. i just hope that allardyce is opening his piggy bank to take him on properly.

Diouf's history thank god. Bolton certainly couldn't pay anything near £5m for him and I can't think of any other club who would be prepared to pay that. But if he carries on performing for the trotters then maybe somebody like Villa could come in with £3-4m for him in which case I'd bite their hand off

His spitting doesn't bother me, I'd prefer to be spat at than have Duncan Ferguson throw an elbow at my cheekbone/eye socket.

If we could get 2-3m I'd take it.

Can't we just break his legs and claim the insurance money?

"the next Cheyrou" --- £5M
the spitting "assassin" --- £10M
to hear comment like this --- priceless!
For everything else to bankrupt a football club, there's always a O'Leary & Houllier!

maybe houllier does know talent. but instead of buying it he just thinks 'bugger that i'll spend my 10m on that donkey over there instead.'

Diouf is a mistake. Professional character really matters in players' capability building. At time we bought him, his skill was well-recognized. Having been returned from the World Cup for Senegal, he was highly respected by both players and gaffers in the dressing room. Should he behaved professionally, his capacity would have been improving and become a valuable contributor to the team.
