If Arsenal drop points at Newcastle, you can be sure Mourinho will be coming to Anfield for a point.

I think tactically we are better team than Chelsea. They've got some results through a couple of players having a moment of individual brilliance, but as a team, I think we're playing more organised and better football.

The key will be doing it for 90 minutes as we did ag Arsenal.

1)Put in warnock as rightback
2)Gerrard to play right flank (he is good enuff to play any position bar goalie, and i might be wrong in that too).
3)Mellor would be well rested. So he should start. He also like scoring at the kop-end.

On a side note, i think Warnock will make an excellant left back in the long-run. Rafa should play him there instead of traore,

Disagree. I would use the 4-5-1 formation and give Gerrard a free role.

keep the formation as you say and have nunez play
a big game like this will be a great boost of confidence, which would directly help his abilities to adapt to the epl. He might even put a ball in too.

i think we now good enuff to play our own game rather than modify our approach to suit the opponent.

With Hamann in and with Alonso & Gerrard, we are already pretty strong in our midfield.

With :
-Hamann protecting our defence
-Alonso providing marksmen standard passes
-Gerrard basically doing everything.

............ Baros & Mellor will have a great game against chelsea. I don't really like the 4-5-1 formation becos by playing that the emphasis is on the wingers to provide and score.

Risse did well against WBA, but i don't think he has the techical skill to get pass the chelsea defenders. Not really sure of nunez though he seems to be improving each game.

Actually it does not matter what formation we play. As teams usually don't stick with the same formation during the game. Saying that, i prefer if we take the game to chelsea as we have nothing to lose.

But i think Baros & Mellor have to play as we can't depend on baros scoring all the time (and mellor loves to score at the kop end).

i was talking about the substitutions in the soton game. and traore has experience of playing CB.

agree though, we need the strongest possible defence against chelsea. the full backs are going to have to work verty hard.
