Liverpool can still win medals

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Recently I read an article in a newspaper stating that Liverpool wants to buy new players but lacks fund.

On top of this Morgan has withdrawn his offer of 70 mil

I reminisence what GH replied about liverpool's financial position. He said that he had spend on players like wise he had sold some players and the money he had brought in is more than that he had spent.

He sold our assets and bought players lavishly paying 13.5 mi for Diouf and so on.

Just after he left, the lads came out with various statements, complaining how GH isolated  and how the lads had grouped.
No unity and so on.  GH caused frustration in Liverpool. Owen has to go.Stevie wanted to leave (unwillingly, but now is staying ) Yet GH has the audesity to comment on Liverpool's game to a French TV.

Its not easy for the lads to come-up again especially, when the other teams are also improving.

The lads must work very hard and improve their confidence..

We had to score 5 goals in Olyampiakos game to get 3. (2 goals disallowed). That is the spirit the players have to have. Score.

In the recent Newcastle game. After scoring 3 goals and assured of a win, the lads mellowed down. They should continue to strive. Look Spurs. How they wacked 5 goals. MU 4 goals. When the opposition is loosing, they will loose confidence and wont defende well. We should take this chance and net more goals especially, when the opposition has only 10 men .

If every one plays their part well, it would light for the lads. But if only one player works hard, and the others takes things easy, then its never possible for us to get a silverware.

Yes I think we have a problem of finishing teams off like we used to, all the top teams do it, but I think we are 3 players short of this mentality, when Houllier was in charge a defensive manager if we where 2-0 up he would bring defenders on and settle for that score line, even though that can easily backfire.

Benitez knew the fans wanted to see attacking football so he has to instill them playing skills into those players that still remain from the Houllier days, I like what I see know at anfield flowing attacking play most of the time, not neccessarily away from home that is a major issue but I am sure that will be sorted out very soon, they need that confidence, and the new players need to get used to traveling to away grounds and get used to not being at there home of Anfield.

We have one of the best home records in the prem and one of the worst away, under Houllier we where better away and awful at home, Rafa will get this problem sorted out we are 3 players away from being a team that other teams fear.
Once Morientes comes more goal options with him and Baros upfront, Mellor on the bench as supersub :D
Harry Kewell getting his confidence back, a tighter defence, that is our weakness the defence, If stevie stops running the show the others must buck there Ideas up, and start giving it 110% Baros has that workrate, he is starting to terrorise the oppitions defence and soon they will fear him as much as Henry does.

Come january one or two new players the new players settled in a bit more we will see an iprovement on our away form, TBH though we are not doing as bad as it looks, new manager been here 6 months look at other prem managers who have been in this league for years, Souness for example Newcastle have good player but look at them they are 16th in the table, so its not all doom and gloom we are still in the 4 cups and our youth kept us in one down to faith from Benitez.

We are sixth 4 games coming up in 9 days hopefully we can take 9 points out of these 4 games, some of our injured players back and fit, boro and everton to start loosing games bringing 4th potition in our reach.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Two excellent posts, Cisse, your best for a while, stay in here and keep out of General Chat when your on form like that.

In my opinion, we are playing the best football for ten years right now, and long may it continue.

I totally agree about the football cos it's the sort of stuff I've been dying to see at Anfield for years, we are on the right path with Beni, I just hope the guy gets some money as he uses it wisely :)
