NO!!!  We want to move the club forward.. Campo is simply not good enough.. papers talkin ******.. i hope
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Gonna go out on a bit of a limb here. I think Campo is a good player. I think he was a cenre-back at Madrid and Allardyce got him to play holding midfield. Good pro and good player for me.

yeh Campo would be excellent as a back up squad player

wasnt there rumours of Kevin Nolan coming? Could be a consideration if we were getting rid of Diouf for a Bolton player

Out on a limb ? I think you might have discovered a new species of tree .
Sam Allardyce has done a brilliant job with the resources available to him by signing skilled seasoned professionals who are past their sell by date but can still do a job of sorts . All of them are a quick fix as they only have one maybe two seasons of top flight footy left in them . That may suit Bolton who consder just staying in the premiership as an achievement (no disrespect to them ) but surely LFC is looking beyond just surviving  ? .
I'm not knocking Campo or your assesment of him but i don't agree that we should consider him as an option even on a free , Rafa is building something at LFC and players in the twilight of their careers are not part of it .

Good point and I did consider that , BUT that was then and this is now and btw Campo is not Gary Mac .
Wish he was and i'd be agreeing with you .

i remember campo when he came to england he played centre back for bolton and he was really really poor. alladyce put him as a holding midfielder and he improved some what.He wouldn't improve our midfield and i certainly wouldn't let him near the defence. We do need a centre half but definitly not him.

Spot on , when he first arrived I thought Sam Allardyce had signed the wrong Campo because to be fair the  Campo I knew wasn't a bad player. He did however improve as you point out but lets be honest he's a player who is desperately clinging on to top flight footy for the wage as even he would admit his best days are behind him .

I should have been a politician . Wasn't actually "Rubbishing" him or your opinion , just disagreeing without going into the "you're talking bollox you halfwit" kind of  "discussion"  that often arises in this forum when people don't have the same perspective.
I agree with you that the "story " is very likely bollox anyway

  :D
walk on .  :)

I'd trade Diouf for a bag of M&M's.
