Liverpool Football Club - Games

Looks like Gakpo [who has started the season well] is going to miss out, hopefully we get to see Barcola and Munoz on the wings. A good win tonight against a half decent outfit like these would help a lot confidence wise going into Saturdays game against Fulham.

Alisson

Araujo
Jacquet
Van Dijk
Kerkez

Macca
Szoboszlai
Wirtz

Ngumoha
Isak
Barcola

I thought Munoz might have started this one.. but its a big chance for Rio to impress the manager.

Common lads lets keep the momentum going now and grab another win. Got a feeling Barcola will score and Isak to continue his fine form.

I don’t get the hype around Rio, I want him to succeed but he looks so one dimensional.

I hate this lot. Always using the dark arts, inspired by that knacker Simeone.

The sh1thousery out of this lot combined with a dreadful ref is making it a tough night but i'm telling you game by game we are getting better

Kerkez has been awful that half. He didnt track his runner for the goal, and his general play has been terrible. They are clearly leaving him free on the ball and forcing him to make a error.

We are actually pressing and winning the ball.. something that was missing massively last season.

He did win it back for the equaliser, but I agree he's a disaster waiting to happen

Good 2nd half from the lads. We were more compact and stopped them playing through us. I thought Jacquet had a great game and Araujo was solid aswell with a great flick assist for the 2nd goal. Im just praying Barcolas injury is cramp and not a calf strain.

Much better second half. The pressure to win the ball back or challenge is a million miles away from last season

Atletico are one of those teams that its tricky to look good against, they are always well organised, they work hard for each other and they are masters of the dark arts so any win against that mob shouldnt be sniffed at. Our players are definitely putting more of a shift in now which is great to see and we are are improving by the week which is also great to see.

I can see why Gravenberch was dropped. He was way too laid back when he came on.. He wasn't concentrating, he was dwelling on the ball, and trying unnecessary flicks in dangerous areas. Dom and Macca looked switched on and ready for war this season.
