So Arsenal begin with a win over Cov 3-0.

They definitely are favourites to retain title. Time will tell I guess as to which team will try to mount a challenge.

United getting turned over 2-0 by relegation favourites Hull is a good start to the first Saturday of the new season, they look a bit on the small side to me United though they've got a few players that arent fit yet.
Good win for Everton beating Palace

Tottenham just lost 3-0 at Brentford, Brentford missed a pen as well. Spurs are fancied to do well this season so that's another decent result for us.

I dont think Arsenal are anything to particularly write home about mate, they rely heavily on set pieces and they didnt win it last year with an amazing points total or anything, best of a bad bunch is probably the best way to describe them.
Winning back to back titles in the Premier League era has proven to be a notoriously difficult thing to do, everyone fancied us strongly last year and look what happened to us.
I think we'll improve as the season progresses [as the manager gets his idea's across] so if we can get off to a good start you just never know, even under Jurgen how we started a campaign seemed to go a long way in determining what type of season we'd have so today is incredibly important.

I also think Arsenal were not that good last year and needed a lot of help to win the title. This year I would assume they will be better but I wouldn’t write off our chances as I think we will certainly be better than last year and will get better as the season goes. As usual I would  assume Arsenal get out of the blocks quickly as they always do then believe their own hype and fade. If we can win our first 5 winnable matches then I think it will help any players that may have any doubts about the new manager. I also think we will get fitter as the season progresses.
