Mannure closing in on Sesko lol, Newcastle struggling in the market this summer. I think this Isak saga is going go last right till the end of the window.

Hopefully Newcastle will open the Saudi purse and close the deal if we want to get the Isak deal over the line. Feck United, it's more important that the fail to bounce back.

Liverpool are looking at a number of young centre-backs across Europe, including Parma's 18-year-old Giovanni Leoni.

Darwin Nunez set to end three-year stay at Liverpool after club agree deal with Al Hilal worth up to £56.6m; Uruguayan forward scored 40 goals in 143 appearances at Anfield; Reds set to make eight-figure loss on player who signed for initial £64m plus significant add-ons

Hopefully we are looking for someone a bit more experienced but I think we have already made our mind up to go with Konate, Virginia, Joe and then Endo, Robbo filling in as needed. I don't think we will be going for someone like Guehli. I'd say we have an agreement that he will come next season when his contract expires.

Hopefully Newcastle sign a striker quick and we can get Isak over the line.

Despite doing some great business this summer, all of a sudden we’re looking light at centre back and in attack.

Isak must be agreed with Newcastle in private or surely we wouldn’t have let both Diaz and Nunez leave. It’s a concern though.

Bit of a game going on with Guehi too. Waiting for Palace to drop asking price but with the Colwill ACL injury I think Chelsea will come in for him too now which probably drives up price and we’ll walk away. Only chance is if Guehi has said only Liverpool.

I think we need 3 players in. 2 attackers and a CB.

I’d say the other way round, 2CB and an attacker but I don’t think it will happen.

I'd be happy with just one of each tbh. CB was top priority before but now with Nunez gone both positions are now priority. Failure to sign either will leave us in a weaker state than we were before this transfer window IMO.

Optimally 2 cbs and 1 attacker would good but 1 of each is ok. What I do not like is the unresolved issue with Konate. If he does not sign before the season starts he will go on a free next summer and we look like suckers for the 2nd straight year.

Seems clear that Isak won't be at Newcastle, especially after what Howe said yesterday. Don't know why they dont get this out the way a move on.

Newcastle are trying to play hardball, but to quote the big, fat orange loser, ‘they don’t hold any of the cards’.

I think we’ll hold firm on the price and wait it out. Otherwise Newcastle’s season is going to fall apart with dressing room infighting.

Other players there must also be concerned about Howe’s inability to attract world class players this summer.

Similar situation to when we got VVD. That summer it looked certain then Southampton said they wouldn’t sell and we backed off.

They probably don't want him play vs them lol. They know he will end up with us but just want to push it and try to recoup as much as they can. When the window is close to the end there will be some sort of agreement.

Newcastle may have finally put an end to the Alexander Isak transfer saga after telling the Swede that he will NOT be leaving the club this summer - something they have also communicated to Liverpool.

The Reds saw their opening bid over more than £100million rejected but that could be the end of that with the Magpies taking a firm stance over their striker, despite him wanting to leave.
