Come on Reg, did you get ovations every time you appeared at work and got cheered on for doing your job? And was your job kicking a ball around and did you get paid millions for it? I really don't understand people that imply that football is even remotely similar to regular employment.

Football is tribal… He plays for our tribe and now he plays for an enemy tribe, you can understand it.

The way things are shaping up I wouldn't mind getting 3 new cbs. If Konate tries to go on bosman he can take a hike and go to PSG or Real for all I care. If Gomes wants to be 1st choice he can go too as I see him as the perfect sub who can cover all over the backline. And tbh I do not fancy Quansah at all when I've seen him play. Yes, he is young but nowhere near a larger role in the team. Sell or loan is fine either way as he needs time on the pitch which we can't give him.
So YES, 3 new sbs would be fine if that is how it goes.

Players leaving is part and parcel of the game.

But when they leave for free, while stringing the club along on contract negotiations, then it twists the knife somewhat because the club misses out on the funds its needs to replace them.

I blame the club more than Trent, which is why LFC needs to move players on who refuse to commit.

Guehi is good, so only need 2 more cbs then.

Don't really like this Guehi lad tbh, but not too many decent CBs on the market at the moment and we need CBs right now so it is what it is I guess. Still bummed we lost out on Huijsen.

Konate is probably gonna stay and leave on a free at the end of the season since we can't really afford to lose him in this moment IMO.

Guehi Would be a decent squad player, he’s only got 12 months left on his contract and might be one for next summer if Konate is going to screw us over and refuse a move this summer.

Guehi is better than Quansah who was never going to be in the first 11 full time. It's good that's it's a English man replacing a English man. I think it's a solid signing, especially for the £45m price.

Guehi is a really good player, he's good enough to start every week imo, great bit of business by the club, this is turning into one hell of a transfer window.

With only an year left on his contract £45m is not a small amount for Guehi, but then again we are about to sell Quansah for £35m and Guehi is definitely an improvement on Quansah so yeah, good business I guess.

Yup, if we want to retain the title and compete till the end in UCL we definitely need another forward. We also need quality cover also so getting rid of them may mean we need x2 Forwards.

When we were going for the quad we had Salah, Mane, Firmino, Jota, Diaz to choose from. We went far because we had reliable players to rotate.
