Four weeks ago this looked like a sure thing.....no extra time and penalties needed for this cup final....How things have changed ;with the every growing injury list this has become a game that is a tough one to call and definitely not a result you can bet everything on. Hopefully Salah and Nunez are ok for this one. Personally I'm going down Sunday morning ...booked in Las Iguanas for a pre match bevvies and food at 11.30....our time slot to go into Wembley is 1.00 - 1.30 after the game we have tables booked in TGI'S for our winners ***** up ...see you there
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW SHINING AT THE END OF EVERY DAY. THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW AND TOMORROW IS JUST A DREAM AWAY.
If Nunez and Salah are available then I'd be more at ease. Read that Szobozlai might be available as well. It's gonna be a long afternoon if none of them play though.
At full strength I'd be fairly confident but given the current injuries within the squad it's a bit of a coin toss . Won't be putting any money on this one but obviously hoping we can take the win.
Was checking out Met Office weather forecast for the game. It's gonna be cold with a high chance of some very heavy rain Sunday afternoon . Have a great trip Supersub . Remember to wrap up warm mate . YNWA
I think a good battle to watch and may be be pivotal is Enzo vs MacAlister. Enzo had his number the first time we played but MacAlister was dominant the last time we played. I see it being a tight match that will probably go to penalties, in which case it would be a tossup. Beside our injury issues, Chelsea has had extra rest and focus for this match, we played on Wednesday and Chelsea played last Saturday. This Liverpool team has grit and determination though, I hope that will be the difference.
This will be a very tough game. Chelsea's determination to get revenge for last years 2 final defeats v's Liverpool's determination to win it for Klopp. A battle royale.
Liverpool make two changes for today's Carabao Cup final with Chelsea at Wembley.
Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson return to the starting line-up, replacing Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah from the team that began the midweek win over Luton Town.
Liverpool: Kelleher, Endo, Van Dijk, Konate, Diaz, Mac Allister, Gakpo, Elliott, Robertson, Gravenberch, Bradley.
Disappointing that a few bigger players aren't available and it will hurt our chances but it is what it is. I'd rather not rush them back for this as we have bigger fish we want to fry!!
Fully expect the lads to go out there and give a good account of themselves and they will have a chance. Our squad has been good enough to get us this far so have to trust them to see it out!!
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years 21/22 to 25/26 (10 years are in brackets 16/17 to 25/26 ) LFC €490m (€650m) Everton +€15m (€290m) Arsenal €770m (€1107m) Spurs €665m (€892m) Chelsea €740m (€1045m) Man City €460m (€1095m) Man United €780m (€1340m)
Can't see us winning this unfortunately. Too many players out, plus the revenge factor from the Chavs. Our starting lineup doesn't convince me - Elliott, Gravenberch etc
