End of August/early September when all the qualifiers are complete. Just like the CL. We go straight into the group stages.

Will be good for Ramsay to get a season of regular football under his belt in the Championship. The back issue that kept him out for the first half of the season was actually a small stress fracture that we identified in his medical. He said he wasn't even feeling any pain but we decided to manage it and give it time to properly heal to stop it potentially becoming a big issue. Shame he picked up that knee injury in February as he was training regularly at that point. He was back in light training by the end of the season so it wasn't overly serious.

Bradley had a fantastic season with Bolton so I could see him staying next season and getting a chance in the Europa League.

I see we sent Calvin Ramsey out on loan to Preston. Why ? Thought this lad was a top talent so why are we loaning him out without him having been given a chance.

Third qualifying round: 24 July 2023
Play-off round: 7 August 2023

Re Ramsay, yeah I liked the look of him too mate but he is very young, hasn’t played an awful lot of footy and has been injured so maybe Jurgen feels a year out on loan getting regular competitive football may do him the world of good.
It will be interesting to see if that Bradley goes out on loan again or wether his performances have earned him a place in our playing squad for this season

We just keep neglecting back up for that position. We sold Neco for a good profit and he was more than capable of being a back up for Trent. Then we spend a fraction of that on a replacement and loan him a year later which leaves us back to square 1.  I don't see how his situation now is any different than a year ago. He still needed game time and at least he will be fit for the start of the season where as he wasn't last year. Total U turn by the club.

Nothing against Bradley at all and I think he's had a fantastic season. Played a lot of games and grabbed a few goals and assists. Now what is the point in taking that away from him as surely the limited minutes he will get here will stall his progression. Another year on loan getting that amount of experience would be the best thing for him imo . If Trent got injured Klopp will play Gomez or even Hendo before him.

Having Tsimikas shored up our left side and same is needed on the right or else we will be altering styles/ formation etc if Trent go out injured for a bit.

Why not give Bradley a starting position? If he's good enough, he's old enough. Yes he's raw but I'd love to see the manager place a bit of faith in him.

Ramsey could get those minutes though and Klopp seemed to have lots of faith in him last year when we signed him. It's just a back up role atm as Trent is fit and hopefully stays that way. Ramsey or Bradley filling that role doesn't overly bother me as both are unproven but just find it strange that we are not giving that chance to the lad we just signed and haven't tried him out.

The fixtures were released today, our first game is away at Chelsea followed by a home game against Bournemouth then another away trip to Newcastle!

According to Spanish outlet El Nacional, Liverpool ‘have seen a bid rejected for Valverde.’ It isn’t clear how much the Reds put on the table – but they would reportedly be willing to make a maximum offer of €80m (£68.4m) plus €20m (£17.1m)  in addons.

In 2022/23, Valverde made 56 appearances across all competitions. In the process, he scored 12 goals and made seven assists.

A versatile player, the Los Blancos maestro has the ability to play anywhere in midfield, or as a right winger. So, he could provide cover in multiple positions for Klopp next season. Also, despite Ancelotti being a big fan of Valverde, he could see his playing time reduced in the future.

This is due to the arrival of Jude Bellingham. With Real Madrid paying £88.5m for the England international, it seems likely he’ll go straight into the starting XI, possibly at the expense of Valverde. Although it’s worth noting Luka Modric could leave the Bernabeu this summer.

Nevertheless, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has responded emphatically to Liverpool’s interest. As per El Nacional’s report, he will only accept a bid of €100m (£85.5m) straight cash for Valverde.

So, it will be interesting to see if Liverpool match that price tag. Meanwhile, they are currently edging towards an agreement for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone. Clearly, Klopp wants at least one more midfield signing this summer. Now, it remains to be seen whether or not they can get a deal over the line for Valverde.

If they do, arguably, he would be an even more exciting addition than Mac Allister.

Still at 85 million we would be better with Valverde and Mac Allister for the price of Bellingham. Throw in Kone or Thurram ( because they look like similar players to me) and you have solved the midfield crisis we had. Unlike when we spent our Suarez money on a number of average players, meaning we swapped a world class player for three average players, In this case we would be swapping a very good potentially WC player in Bellingham for three very good players with the potential to become world class. If we can get it done, it would be good business and the way the team has been operating.

We've been linked with Valverde for years, and he'd be perfect for our style of play. He's box to box non stop, and has a eye for goal aswell. My only worry would be us paying over the odds for him and that being us done for this window.

We need at least another 2 midfielders and a CB in this window.

It's gone very quiet on the rumours and we're getting linked with players I've not heard of who have release clauses under £20m. So that's already scaring me for what might come.

So the pratt Perez wants more for him that he paid for his replacement. Dream on.

Valverde would be perfect for that RCM spot that Henderson currently occupies. I'd assume that Bellingham will play RCM so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that the Madrid hierarchy decide to sacrifice Valverde. He's an ever present in their side but the manager doesn't have much say in transfers at Madrid. But with Modric and Kroos likely to be leaving in the next couple of years I can't see them selling.

Hopefully we'll be able to tie up Khéphren Thuram before France begin their Euro U21 campaign next week.

I can’t say I’ve seen that much of this Valverde fella but everyone else and I’m not just talking about on here seems very exited about the prospect of him boing us. With Trent floating in his quarterback position would a midfield like this be good enough to see us challenge again?

Valverde would be a decent signing but doubt we are going to spend that amount to get him.  I think the U21 tournament is what we are looking at for the next addition.  That lad Gabri Viega is a quality player. Maybe not the type of midfielder we want but he looks like a proper player.  Had a good season in La Liga as well with 36 games,  double figure goals and assists.

The rumours are circulating that "there's loads of investment options on the table" and it's a exciting time to be a Liverpool fan. I'm smelling another PR stunt to keep us on our toes and excited, only for a deal to fall through, and the excuses to follow after why we've no money.

That's my early prediction for this window.

Where's that coming from mate? Assume this is just in reference to some FSG shareholders cashing in all or part of their shares? I don't think anything will happen until Man Utd are sold as that will set a new benchmark for what PL clubs are worth.
