As I understand it this is his second surgery, the first one didn't quite do the job so they decided to operate again.

That's what I was getting at. I meant to say, how come they didn't get it right the first time and now have to go back in again...

I suppose there's always a certain amount of risk with any medical procedure, unfortunately for us and Joe his first op was one of those that didn't quite go right. Bad fvcking timing though given the way our defence looks atm.

Seems like the setback was down to a bad diagnosis in the first place rather than the fracture. Think it will be end of February before we see him back myself which would be probably be accurate enough for that type of injury.

Steven Warnock ,earlier today.

"Joe Gomez is very close to being ready from what I hear. It will be a nice period for Liverpool. You know that when you come back it’s the business end of the season.”

Steven Warnock is full of Sh*t !

BBC asked Klopp about Joe the post-match presser...said he will be back in full training in 2 weeks  :buttrock

Good, along with Guardiola's histrionics yesterday it shows that we are getting to them, City aren't handling the situation they find themselves in very well at all.

Haha what a d**khead that Sterling is.

Good to know that both Joe and Liverpool are inside the little t.wat.s head. Well done boys!

Wonderful. I can see City cracking up over the coming weeks. I might put money on Pep walking at the end of the season, as he looks like a man on the verge of a mental breakdown.

When they won the league last year all their players were mocking us on the bus home. A season where we had played out of our skin and fell short by 1 point. That would have a impact on any player and team, and what you are seeing now is redemption and us being ruthless to make sure these idiots don't mock us again.

We aren't playing games this year and City know on current form they can't hang with us and their players and Pep are losing their heads.

Wouldn't mind but Gomez only played 10 minutes maximum. Clearly instructed by Klopp to use his physical advantage against Sterling just doing his job. To be fair he was causing us a lot of problems as he does every team. We know he's a brilliant player. Reports he struck Gomez in the face so little wonder Southgate has disciplined him.
