I recently watched Suburra, great mafia flick set in Rome. It centers around the mob who are trying to get some laws passed to turn some seaside resort into a Las Vegas type place. Very violent, but really well produced, perfect soundtrack and a cinematic work of art imo. If you enjoyed Gomorrah then you will love this.

So funny story about how I came to watch this. The owner of my local Italian cafe said I looked like one of the mob bosses. I took that as a compliment!  :eyebrow

They even made a TV prequel series too, although it's not as good as the movie imo. If you are in the UK both the movie and series are on Netflix.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

Watched the Outlaw king (netflix movie). If you are a fan of Brave heart you will like this. Not as epic as Braveheart but still a good movie imo. Story of Robert the Good ol Brucey.

I felt however they could have made a mini series out of it because 2 hours was not enough.

Watched that as well. To be honest I was a bit disappointed as Braveheart was one of my all time favs and this seemed like an unofficial sequel. The intensity was just not there. I blame the director. The delivery was just very flat.

On another note, been catching up on some recent movies and came upon a sci fi one called Passengers. Chis Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence. It wouldn't really blow your mind away but a nice little 'contained' sci-fi movie with good acting, good effects and a decent plot. 7/10.

Yup I have mate. I've wayched Annihilation way before. Good flick but the ending was just too crazy for me  . I'd rank it about the same as Passengers. I prefer Interstellar and Arrival when talking about recent sci fi movies. Lining up Ghost in the Shell and Bladerunner 2049. Don't have much hope for either of them because 1. Scarlett Johansson makes lame sci fi movies and 2. I'm concerned bladerunner will be too heavy and my brain can't cope with heavy Sh*t nowadays

I have not seen Ghost in the shell yet. I watched Blade Runner few months ago. I found it ok but kind of too long and tedious at times.

Cheers Woof, its looks pretty intriguing

Watched Coen Brothers latest movie for Netflix

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs is a six-part Western anthology film.

While I couple of the tales I could have gone and watched paint dry instead, overall definitely worth a watch even if just for first tale of Buster Scruggs

Feeling full and in need of some relaxed couch time settled down to watch this after Xmas lunch  :)

:wwww   :wwww   :wwww

Lets just say the Xmas mood in my house was radically different this year   :(

After going with RBG's recommendation and choosing this for our afternoon movie I'm surprised that social services haven't moved all my extended family to a safe location !   :(
