Brighton v LIVERPOOL Sat 2nd Dec 3.00pm KO

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby ycsatbjywtbiastkamb » Fri Dec 01, 2017 2:03 pm

With the Arsenal and United game kicking off 40 minutes after our game ends we have a fantastic opportunity to put a bit of pressure on 2 of the teams that lie above us. We know that at least one of them, maybe even both, are going to drop points so it's vitally important that we don't look any gift horses in the mouth at this crucial stage of the season.
Also Rafa takes his Newcastle team back to Stamford Bridge (where he got dogs abuse from the Chelsea fans) which could be interesting and Spurs face a tricky trip to Watford as well.
We are in December now and this next 4-6 weeks usually sorts the wheat from the chaff, it certainly sorted us out last year after our great start but hopefully we can do better this time around.

We could do with winning a few games on the spin to give us a bit of momentum. These sort of away trips are going to be a bit tricky.

Brighton are playing decently 10th in the table and only lost at home against City. They have won a few and drew some games aswel.
They were unlucky against mannure just lost 1-0.
They will be up for it so it won't be an easy task.

We've got Spartak during midweek so wondering how Klopp will rotate.
We must however start Salah if we want to get a few goals here.

That was why we were screaming for a CB signing, we must buy one in Jan.

Arsenal v Man utd - who do do want to win?

A draw would be perfect but I'd prefer an Arsenal win. Arsenal are bound to capitulate later on during the season so i would like them to win so we keep up with Mannure.

A DRAW is the best result for us, as both dropping points, and us to win gaining two points.

I think this will be a difficult tie, I'll take a scrappy 0-1 result any day. We need a bit of Magic from Salah or Coutinho. Those guys can unlock Brighton's door.

I would actually start with Oxlaide-Chamberlain. He's looked lively thus far, and has good pace.

I'd start with;

Migs

Gomez  Lovren  Klavan  Robertson

Oxlaide Chamberlain   Wjnaldum   Couts

Salah     Firminho      Mane.

Due to the Spartak Game next week, he could throw Solanke or Sturridge in there also instead of Firminho.
Also, he may also field Hendo, Can or even Llalana instead of the mentioned three above. Any which way he wants to mix it up.
But please, not Hendo and Milner in Midfield Jurgen!

Thats our best bet.

I think Klopp will play that line up but Moreno instead of Robertson and Henderson instead of Oxlaide.

Still rotating I see. Hopefully it doesn't cost us. It nearly did at Stoke.

Milner in MF as well, not to mention Mingolet who's dropped a clanger in his last 2 games.
Another nervy afternoon by the looks of it mate.
