Could well be right mate, a lot od similarities to when Suarez joined... January window, 20+ million pounds... sold for 3 times the price

I would hope to think we are wrong and this guy will come and do the business for many years to come

We are simply crying out for someone to bang the goals in and this guy is banging them in like nobodies business

I think he can only return if we agree to sell him? Might be wrong.

I hope your right... at the same time would love to know what Klopp makes of him, if he can't get through to the guy then nobody can

Yeah that's going to happen. We have one guy who doesn't press well and has poor movement and he can't get in the team so we're going to bring another player with similar deficiencies into the squad.

I was under the impression that the broad concept of moneyball is using statistics to identify opportunities and value that may be missed by the naked eye. The use of those statistics can be extended to help value a player but I don't think it's about buying players for low prices. That's my understanding but someone may correct me.

Anyway John Henry said as football is such a fluid team sport the value of statistical analysis isn't as high as in sports such as baseball.

Suarez wasn't a 20 million player though, he was far better had had to leave quickly under a cloud. When we sold him he'd burst through into the big time and we got a great price despite another black cloud or two long the way!

The Ukraines will try their luck to get 38m then sell at the best price offered, I doubt many top players want to move to Ukraine at the moment or want to stay there. The poor country's having a terrible time.

Can't say I'm optimistic about this deal now. Chelsea are selling Ramieres for £25m and I fully expect them to come in and offer a wedge for him now, that'll either force our hand or we'll back out. I hope I'm wrong though

This from ESPN Brazil...

The negotiations between Liverpool & Shakhtar are almost done. Liverpool will probably get the player. The outcome of the negotiations will be amazing news for Alex Teixeira, spectacular for Shakhtar and expensive for Liverpool.

I think Balotelli has the annoying ability of making managers look like incompetent idiots. Personally I wouldn't waste anytime on the lad. Klopp's talents can be utilised in far more important areas. Sell Balotelli off to anybody that is prepared to take him would be my stance. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if he does a Borini.

So much for his glorious return to Milan. Wonder what's gone wrong there?

Bizarrely, I think he'll attract a few 10m offers. West Ham, Newcastle, Villa...one of those will take him

I think clubs just hope he can settle down and live up to whatever 'potential' he has. As far as I'm concerned he's a few quid in the kitty, nothing else
