Got to agree with you Eds, I thought the same myself...... Liverpool's first 3 buys have been free or out of contract players, since when did they win you the european cup?  NOT looking good, we really are looking like a mid table side now.

Not sure where the Falcao stories have come from, but he looks like he is off to Chelsea. Benteke is the one that will arrive at us

Not sure I fancy either of them. Falcao didn't do much at United and Benteke if the release clause is accurate at £32m, that's far too much.
Is he suited too us anyway, it just sounds like another Carroll situation to me.

Maybe I'm in denial but I'm just hoping that before the summer is out that we go out and bring in 2 or 3 quality players like Kovacic and Yarmolenko to add a bit of creativity to the side. At the end of last season we just looked desperately short of idea's and it seemed obvious that the thing we lacked most were players who could turn a game and pull something out of the bag. In short we lacked quality.
That's why it's so surprising that our first signings this summer have been yeomen like Milner and Ings, english players aren't renowned for their creativity at the best of times and those 2 aren't even top, top english players (like Barkley, Rooney etc).
With Gerrard gone (and Sterling already having one foot out of the door) surely to Christ the club have to address the lack of creativity in the side? We didn't have much to begin with anyway and now with those 2 going the situation is becoming critical. I just hope Brendan and this transfer committee know what they are doing.

That's the thing Yakka, they don't know what they are doing. Because of the money spent by BR last summer (he went for quantity over quality as we all know. LFC only needed 2 or 3 quality with that money but we all know what happened), there is nothing left. It is still a 'sell to buy policy' at LFC because of it.

From what i've heard, Kovacic fee has been agreed, but nothing else has been finalised. BR seems to be collecting Midfielders. Anyway, Lucas is 'likely' to go as a result as BR does not rate him.

Players in: Milner (free), Ings (tribunal), Bogdan (free), Benteke £32f*ckingmillion.

Players out: Gerrard (free), Sterling (less than Benteke cost)

To be continued...

We need to add to our strike force more than we need sterling. We have plenty of cover for the position sterling plays, Ibe, Markovic. Therefore, despite not jumping in joy at the thought of Benteke being our main transfer target, it's not the end of the world as some are making it out to be.

Well for the future of the club, 1: FSG need to get rid of BR today and he should not come anywhere near LFC again, 2: LFC need quality, not quantity. What on earth is BR (doing, again? he'll take the club down, and freeze out more players. 3: Commity needs to be scrapped, they were there to help BR, they've done sod all. 4: FSG need to appoint appropriate coaches right now, instead of F**king around like idiots.

I find the thought of the transfer committee sitting around, debating a bunch of bosmans to be both funny and terrifying.
