Players that can create? Like Luis, Coutinho, Gerrard and Sterling? We certainly don't lack in terms of creativety. Bit of a strange comment that one.

Actually, we don't have an out-and-out finisher except for maybe Lambert now... even Suarez is more of a false 9 type of player...

Players that can create? Like Luis, Coutinho, Gerrard and Sterling? We certainly don't lack in terms of creativety. Bit of a strange comment that one.

I disagree apart from coutihno none are creative in the mf ,Luis and Sterling are working the flanks and Gerrard is an excellent passer from range but they don't create through the middle the most important part of pitch we lack that player that can give the deep smart pass which is so effective.

Gerrard creates buckets full of chances. He's no Paul Scholes or Alonso in terms of his use of the ball but there are different ways to create chances. I'm also not one for stats, but how can you say the player with the most assists in the league "isn't creative"?  Like I said, I'd understand if you said he doesn't use the ball like some of the truely top deep lying midfielders in the league, but you didn't, you just flat out came out with complete rubbish.

How on earth you can call the side for lacking creativety and imagination when they've scored over a 100 league goals is absolutely the most ridiculous and ludicrous thing I think I've ever heard.

Its probably one of the most stupid things I've ever read on this forum in all honesty. But what is it they say? "you're entitled to your opinion"?

You have a best 11. A settled eleven, from which you have maybe two or three players you can occasionally bring in when one is lacking form or fitness. Other than that it was a settled side unless injury dictated otherwise.

There is no fixed starting 11, you can't expect to have the same starters for 60 games! It's not only a matter of injuries and tiredness but it's also a matter of tactics. Different opponents require different tactics, different tactic require different line-ups. In some games you need more firepower. In others, you need strength in midfield. In some you'll need more pace and skill, in others you'll need more strength.

But regardless of what you believe in, the fact that we need quality for squad rotation is undeniable. I won't compare us with City or Chelsea, but look at Arsenal's squad or even Tottenham's and United's squads. They all have at least 6 quality attacking players. With the addition of Lambert we currently have 5 so IMO we need just one more. Since we're already pretty good upfront, we don't need a superstar but we do need someone that can actually contribute, not another Aspas or an Alberto, so I wouldn't mind if it's Shaqiri or Sanchez or Lallana or whoever. With that signing, we'd be good in both quality and quantity in midfield and attack. After that, we'll need to bring in 3 players for our defense (a FB, a GK and a CB). We'll need to think carefully about those last 3 though, because they'll need to jump in our starting line-up right away.

Don't think anyone would argue with that. You may get the occasional odd ball who'd put Skrtel in there, apart from that I think the rest pick themselves and pick themselves with great ease.

I know one fairly high profile oddball who would include Skrtel over Agger or Sakho.

The only thing not making your post the most stupid thing written here is the prospect of your next post....But let's not get personal.

Most Gerrard assist are from set pieces ,which are all important but not what i'm referring to ,the ability to control the ball in open play and pass the deep/creative/imaginative pass ,is what we are lacking. With this squad only Coutinho can offer such a weapon and we need more of the same. I also didn't say our system doesn't work it works great but if we want to take the next step we would need to diversify our attacking capabilities. If you don't understand this i'll attach some pictures on my next post.

I actually don't think you understand what the term "create" means?

If we added Sanchez into the mix.....

That would be far and away the most potent "creative" line-up in WORLD FOOTBALL!

You don't need to "hold the ball up" in midfield and put "a killer pass through" to be considered "creative".

As for needing another holding type player, isn't that what we bought Can in for?

Anyway looks like the Manc scum are also "in" for Sanchez and Shaqiri.

Will be interesting to see where these two players end up.

Apparently United are favourites to sign Sanchez.
So far we have signed Lambert and Can, 2 good solid signings but nothing earth shattering, if we finished 7th instead of 2nd we'd still be in for players like that so no sign of us significantly raising our sights just yet, hopefully we will make a bit of a statement with our next buy.

Only a half wit would think that Reina would of been better for us last season than Mignolet!
