a) Why would we be interested in this guy?
b) If we were interested, why would he "snub" us for Valencia?

Plays cm or dm and once scored a hatrick for Barcelona. At 34 no idea why we would want him unless is was just as cover on a six month signing with an option for us to extend it by a year ( which is the deal he signed with Valencia).

Why sign for Valencia intstead of us ? The fella spent a year at Sevilla and four years at Barcelona, speaks spanish and is obviously comfortable with life in Spain. At 34 and not strapped for cash (apparently earned around £12millon during his 18 months in China) as his career winds down I doubt he's looking for the "challenge" playing for us would supply.
