Why the fekk are we claiming that we worked very hard, obviously the timeline is tight etc etc when we have weeks to work on our target and should have got our ar$e moving as soon as the window is open to secure the target(s) early on in the window and get on with business. Why all the rush and uncertainty, not to mention looking desperate and being held at ransom by the player, the agent and the selling club? I'm struggling to understand how this club is being ran by these bunch of highly paid suits. FFS we are Liverpool Football Club, Mickey Mouse Club are better ran than this!

Apparently a Ukrainian paper saying it's done and will be announced in the next hour

I guess with the decline in star quality over the years the organization itself has deteriorated over time.
Players getting injured repeatedly all the time lead me to believe that the physio guys ,whether training or medical ,are pretty average.
And now ,again ,this farce of last hours of the last day trying desperately dealing over an incognito player and failing to deliver. Scouts ,financial ,negotiation all looks like a total krap pile.

I'm not a savvy Biz man ,but logic constitutes pretty simple conclusions. Get your Dealing done ,secretly ,on time and with Intent.
The manager should have 3 options for each position all the times ,of Option A fails go through B and C ,do it fast ,do it confidentially and close the deals.
It's just hard for me to believe that in the whole wide world a network of professional can't find Great options for DM for FB for Wingers ,it just doesn't make sense.

Future is bleak if the organization as a whole doesn't go through a major reconstruction.

Jeez,  This saga is doing my head in. Whatever happens, IA and his whole team of disney characters have to be replaced, quickly.

I think it will get done. I think we are just trying to be a little cute with the deal right at the end, maybe because we know there's no one else really trying to hard for him and we are in the driving seat and maybe have got a bit cheeky with the way we have structured our offer. Dangerous game to play, but in this case, I really do think it is only us with a real firm interest

Totally agree, there's loads of these flying around, take most with a pinch of salt, but it is a rumours thread so you have to post it

nobody on this forum really has any clue about what goes on during the transfer window and what efforts are made. i don't really buy the idea that we are run by a bunch of clowns who don't know their ar'se from their elbow, who don't know where we need to strengthen or don't know how to close a deal. we'll never know all the hidden factors about whether players really want to come, about whether players really want to sell, or whether a rival club just lumped an extra nought onto the salary to convince a player to sign.

we don't have the means to compete with the oil money clubs but i'm fairly sure that everyone from the manager to the owners are doing what they can.

Deals for players in Russia/Ukraine are never easy (just like from South America). The clubs are owned by mega rich guys and you have to sift through a whole load of people claiming to be agents/representatives of the player. They clubs often move the goal posts as well over there

Mirror arn't bad, on football that is  BBC now saying looks hopeful by 11pm
