Well, Ian Ayre has been out there for 48 hours, and still can't sort the deal.  From what I understand, they want full payment in one lump sum and we can't do  it.

No club wants to give full payment in one lump sum these days so i dont blame us for trying to get the best payment terms we can

The latter for me.  And why not? Hardly any clubs pay upfront these days...I mean Real are still paying the scum for Ronaldo and will be paying the Bale money over the next 5 years. Why should we be any different?

True, but at this very late stage, it was always likely that we'd be held to ransom, cause they know we are desperate. We either pay up or walk and allow one of our rivals to purchase the player.

iA said previously that we would not be held to ransom for any player. Well, what did he expect in the last 2 days of the window

fine, he'll lose out in the long run. The guy's contract has 18 months left on it and he's keen to come here. If he doesn't, I see him refusing to sign a contract and leaving for a cut price deal in the summer. They lose either way.

I've just read over on RAWK that there is a lot of confusion about which agent represents him, apparently he has 2 of them and they both want to be involved in the deal.
This sounds like a right carry on, I honestly can't see this happening, Chelsea seem to wrap deals up on the same day where as ours end up as epic saga's, I think Ayre must take Ulysses, Ajax, Hector and Agamemnon over with him when he's trying to finalise a deal.

The player pleading will go a long way, nobody wants an unsettled unhappy player. Hand him over ya rich d1ckhead!

In the last 10 minutes alone there's been 3 reports....

1. The deal has been done for £18m
2. The owner doesn't want to sell and has put the kibosh on everything
3. Konoplyanka has decided to stay until the end of the season and leave in the summer when he has more time to consider his options

I don't think anyone knows what's going on.
