Liverpool have now offered 7 million with 800,000 in bonuses for Tiago Ilori

i know the summer`s nowhere near over yet but i cant see these players we are going for at the moment being good enough to bridge the gap between us and the top 4.
i just hope there are one or two players of the calibre of say a papadopolous or muriel to arrive later on.

Aspas, Llori... who ARE these guys?! When we're linked with players that are worth 8mill + I've usually at least heard of them, but I only saw Aspas play yesterday (and that's because we are linked with him) and who the fck is this lorry guy? I heard he only had his breakthrough in Sporting this year. That kid can't be worth 4 million never mind 8. What's going on with Papadopoulos? We haven't heard about him for a week.

It's 4mil Euros for Ilori. At least he is young with lots of potential

Better than the Greek then? If Ilori comes here to be the replacement of Coates then fine, but I thought that's what Toure was signed for. If Toure and Ilori are meant to be the answer of our defensive problems then I'm not very pleased of our transfer policy. "Young with lots of potential".... got sick of that phrase way too soon.

If and when Suarez goes I really hope we go for Benteke to replace him. Should be able to do that with about half the money Suarez's sale would bring in.

We could potentially get Benteke and Eriksen in place of Suarez which I believe would make us stronger overall. The big question is would they want to come here as selling your marquee player can make it look like the club lacks ambition. Both of those players probably would see us as a stepping stone rather than a club they're going to spend 5 or 6 years at.

I am actually delighted we are going for these obscure players because it means we are casting a wide net for quality. Aspas and Ilori are good signings. I would be over the moon if we landed mitkharain from shaktar or Lamela from Roma or Muriel.

for a start £8m is too high for luis alberto but he does look a class act. he`s one i hope we do sign.
atsu for £3m - another one of our uninspiring `squad` signings
david villa is a pale shadow of the player he once was, a series of serious injuries have ruined him, dont want him here.
madrid can do one with their part ex deals, if we agree to any cash + player deals then this club hasnt got a clue.
let newcastle have krkic, he`s so over rated it`s untrue.
£6m is better that £9m i suppose.

There is no way Villa will let Benteke go for less than £25m. 
This is the club that got £20m for Downing.   And similar for Barry and Young.  All with a year left on their contracts. They negotiate well when it comes to transfers, and hold all the cards.
The lad is on fire, in demand and got 3 years left on his contract.   
We are a team building, with no European football and potentially in a position of NEEDING to replace our top player.

There will be a bidding war, regardless.   Atletico (Falcao cash), Napoli (Cavani cash), Spurs (Bale cash), Man city (just cash) have all been linked with him.

Despite his excellent performances, and looking like a decent player, rather than splash most of the Suarez money on him i would rather us look elsewhere.
