Unfortunately we're going to have one poster on here all summer who "antagonizes, irritates, criticizes and politics"  over every signing made because he doesn't like Rodgers.

I actually think the Alberto signing is a good one

That pisses on your bonfire a little doesn't it

Do you know what grips me - the fact it appears posters are unable to have negative views about the current situation at the club

If any other previous manager had signed this player the knives would have been well and truly out

It's not fact you hold negative views, it's the fact you predominantly ONLY hold negative views. Virtually every thread you post on is negative by nature.

Because that's what I see within the club.

Not much positive to grasp hold off
well no one wants to hear it. There's giving a critique and there's being f*cking depressing 24/7.

Is this some type of lame cry for help?

No one wants to hear it because its too hard for some to handle the hard facts of the current state of the club - the worst in living memory for most of us.

But as I said to the others who just whinge and bleat on about what posters post - ill continue to post my opinion how I see fit within the rules and boundaries set out by the mods. I'm certainly not going to not post something just because you or others think its negative or don't like it.

I would also suggest you don't go to the game or the pub before hand because the general feeling that i witness isnt any better than my current opinion of the club

Gotta disagree with one thing here mate.  The state of the club for one,  much better than after Rafa left and Woy's tenure.

We are in a better situation.

As for the rest, I have no doubt you won't hold back from posting :p

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

On the pitch we aren't much better mate - we aren't in debt off it. But on it we are still just also rans.

I think on the pitch we are better.  Sure the results have not been as glorious as we'd all like, but progress has been made.  I know many don't want to hear it but this is a process.  I saw enough improvement in the second half of the season to give me positive thoughts on what MAY be on the horizon.  Granted we've still got a long way to go, but I've seen steps forward that I haven't seen in ...what is it now four years?

Just when with Suarez looking like he's on his way out and things couldn't get any worse.

Italian press in Naples (IL Mattino) reporting that New Napoli coach Rafael Benitez wants to sign Liverpool defenders Martin Skrtel and Daniel Agger, both 28, plus midfielder Lucas Leiva, 26, along with Barcelona star Javier Mascherano, 28 .

If true the sh'it is definitely about to hit the fan  :(

I think the club is in a pretty good position.

We have a young manager with a clear plan of what he wants to achieve
We have owners that have taken away the debt that nearly put us out of business
We have a young team packed with talent, that is only going to get better

We do need to invest in some experience - which hopefully we will do this year
We may well have to replace Suarez if he decides to leave but we may have 40 million to do that.

In many ways I think we are looking like how Manchester United looked when SAF arrived.  A decent team with loads of talent about to come through.  If we buy that bit of experience to help the youngsters I think the future looks bright.

Benny, I understand what you are saying but you have to remember where we have come from.. not going back to the 70's and 80's but in the past 3 - 4 years... Its hard work to get back up the table, but if you ignore the beginning of last season (where we have a new manager, new style of play and new players) you can see we have improved massively.

We all need to show a bit of patience and get behind the team and the manager.. There are going to be plently of ups and downs along the way but i truly believe that we are going in the right direction.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

The problem is the only judgement that can be used is what is seen on the pitch in terms of results.

Can't just ignore poor performances at certain stages in the season. We never once during the season got a good run going - in fact we haven't in 4 years now.

We have finished 7th, 6th , 8th and 7th in the last 4 seasons - that's the worst run I have ever witnessed.

Currently looking at the squad we could possibly improve above the BS but I can't see us at the moment going higher than that.

The signings we seem to be making don't fill me with any confidence at all that things will get better and if Suarez was to leave then I think it could possibly get worse.

Off the field we are clear from debt - that's a great thing. But we are nowhere near finding out what's happening with stadium , we are trying to at catch with teams that are dishing out money regulary without thought of FFP and a CEO who is IMO not up to the job.

It feels like the best we can currently be is a sub standard Arsenal - looks pretty at times but lacks the true ability and steel to move into the top 4.

There is obvious concerns that need to be addresed especially if Suarez leaves.

Suarez is an absolute superstar but dont forget the season before last he wasnt that prolific infront of goal.

We lost Torres and replaced him with Luis so a replacement can always be found no matter who the player is.

In terms of the signings we have made and the negativity going towards them. Luis Alberto is probably just a squad player and nothing really to right home about.

However Aspas could turn out to be something and if Celta go down and the fee we are apparantly paying is true its no big deal for all we know he could turn out to be the next Michu someone who is now being quoted at 30 million.

But Michu cost 2mil and previously he was the top goal scorer mid in La Liga. He had previous if searched for.

Apas is going to cost around 5 times more and has had one season in top flight football at 25.

If Celta don't relegate and Aspas isn't available for half the price, I think we won't go for him. I don't believe the club is that stupid to make such a gamble.
