What makes you say it's a good signing ?

depth to the squad.  we're adding players that give us options. not saying he's a world class signing just happy that BR is bulking the team out before the window is in full follow

It's just as yakka said, most of his shots go straight at the goalie, but I think it might be his tactic. No keeper expects the ball so near to his body with a such a big goal behind him. I think Rodgers wants him as a goal poacher who is fast and who would be a good squad rotation player, and to be honest I have nothing against that, but for 9 million? I'd give no more than 4 for this guy, considering his ability and the role he will have here.

What about quality to the squad ? No point filling the squad full of sub standard players

I would prefer to bulk the squad with proven quality or highly thought of youngsters with great potential.

Does this guy fit any of those ?

And for 9 mil to add depth !!

very underwhelming signing.  Does't look anything special at all, and a lot of goals that seemed purely lucky, or poor defending/keeping.

Never heard of the guy until now never mind seen him play so it's hard to say much without seeming like a FM know it all. With that being said, based on the YouTube clips (I know, it's shameful to base anything on Youtube but I can't help it  ) he doesn't look to be anything special.

Will he be another decent optIon in the mould of Borini who will add depth without significantly upping our level, or will he prove to be a hidden gem whose talents aren't obvious from YouTube clips? Nobody can say for sure, but I have to say I do have my reservations. He looks like another diminutive type and I worry we're already way, way too lightweight as a squad, lacking in athleticism, pace, power, aerial strength and all those qualities needed to complement the good passing and movement we have.  It's OK if he's ridiculously talented and capable of holding his own in the Prem like Coutinho (for this reason I'd favour us trying to sign Eriksen as he appears to fall into this category), but I doubt this will be the case and even if it is, it still leaves us needing to sign a top class CB and DM and IMO an alternative type of striker to what we've got -- someone like Benteke or Dzeko (I'm not saying either are realistic targets).

Guess well have to wait and see...

countinho was relatively unknown yet that transfer looks like one to work out.

How about wind your neck in and pipe up if the transfer fails not before the lad has even kicked a ball for us.

Really not convinced on this player, don't care if its 9 million euros or pounds, both seems far too much.

YouTube can sometimes make a player look better than he actually is. This player doesn't even look good on YouTube, forgive my assumption but I reckon that's because......... he ain't any good!!

let's wait and see what BR has seen in him before writing him off as been Sh*t
