I'd prefer to keep Pepe, he's still top class and certainly not old in goalkeeping terms. It's also advisable to keep our better players to maintain some stability throughout the defense, team and dressing room.
If he wants out then I would be fairly happy with Begovic as his replacement but what I don't understand is if we end up paying more. In my view if Barca want Pepe they need to stump up the cash, he is still one of the best keepers and should fetch at least 20 million in my view. If they don't like it we should keep him.
Despite age, the other keepers touted such as Begovic, Ter Stegen, Vorm etc will not necessarily be an immediate improvement therefore we should be saving money not paying more

I always thought that teams like West Ham were the perfect team for Shelvey. But I don't want to sell him yet. I wouldn't mind sending him on loan though.

And I agree with the poster above, we should be asking for a big sum for Pepe. We're not eager to sell him, he's not requesting a transfer, he's got 3 more years on his contract, and Barca are the ones who want to sign him. We should ask them to at least match the price for Begovic.

the club needs to get a guarantee that shelvey will get plenty of game time because he will never progress if he's on the bench.
agree on pepe, no point in losing him and having to add money for a replacement but i doubt that will deter fenway as they will make the difference back in wages.

cant say i`m that keen on some of the names we`ve been linked with lately.
this atsu and aspas dont seem to be the type of players that will come into the team and make a shirt their own, they sound more like borini type signings to me, squad fillers.
i think rodgers would be better off concentrating on signing quality rather than quantity.
we need players that will come into the club and improve the starting XI, not the squad.

Atsu was supposed to cost 3 million    Next we will be hearing that Fulham or West ham are after him. We need a bit more quality!

Where have you heard this? Other than the usual Reina/Begovic rumours, I've not seen anything to suggest that Reina has already left the club.

Knowing the lads on this forum, he left the club at 5pm to go home for dinner.
