for a big lad he can shift too.
i would be surprised if city let him go though.

Far to injury prone.

I like Richards but if we made a move for him I suspect it would be intended to be a CB role not RB. In this case I would favour Lescott.

Somebody here mentioned that he believes that Carra will stay with us for another season. I read that Rodgers is implying the same and that he believes Carra has at least one more season in him. I personally would rather have Carra here next season than to replace him with Ashley Williams. We should still be looking to improve on the center back position though.

Agreed. Williams is not a long-term solution

There were rumours that Kenny bid £20m for Richards on the infamous Andy Carroll last day of the window a few years back.

I'd love to see him at LFC.  Young, strong, quick, powerful, and good EPL experience.  He can also cover multiple positions.

What exactly is your source ? This is from Ajax

Ajax: No Liverpool deal for Eriksen
Ajax have said there is "no agreement" between the Dutch club and Liverpool regarding the sale of Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen, 21, has long been linked with a move away from Ajax, with a number of top European sides said to be interested in the Denmark international.

Recent speculation has suggested Eriksen is bound for Liverpool, amid talk of a deal having been struck ahead of the summer.

However, Ajax press manager Eefje Schep told Danish TV2, “We will send out a press release when there is an agreement, even if the agreement is just between the clubs. At the moment, there is no agreement between Ajax and Liverpool.”

Asked whether that meant negotiations are taking place, she added: “Whether we are negotiating or otherwise, we do not comment on transfer rumours. Right now Christian Eriksen is focused on the end of the season and the very important games we still have to play.”

Ajax technical director Marc Overmars did, however, reiterate that Eriksen is set to leave the club, the midfielder unwilling to extend his current contract, which expires in 2014.

"Christian has informed us that he won't be signing a new deal with us at this time," Overmars told Voetbal International. "I think that he and his agent will want to see what options are available in the summer."

The deal might not be done but I think we are getting there. However, I remember quotes by Eriksen saying that he would like to play in a club like City or PSG. Sadly, we can't really compete with those.

Diame looks a quality and is what we are lacking, athletic presence in the centre of the pitch. Hes not just a big goon either, hes decent on the ball and is fairly skillful and boy does he have an engine on him.

And he also has a suspected heart problem hence why people are worried about him

+1

You will never see any of our boys power forward and take 3/4 out
of the pitch like he does.

He can do what all our midfielders can and more and that's why we should
go for a player like that.

A big part of our problem is over rating our own players and this is a case in
point.
