My concern is that he plays in the Scottish league. Too unproven to spend 10 mill on him with only a year left on his contract. No player from the Scottish league is worth 10 mill. He might come good but at 10 mill, it's a big risk. I also rather go after Diame.

He also played in the CL and was outstanding against Barce twice - he is a quality player and for £10mil it would be a great signing.

Don't dismiss a player just because of the league he is in

i wouldnt be against signing the both of them, the lad who plays for celtic would make a good center half imo.
if i had to choose 1 though it would be diame, he`s got the lot that lad, he can even run at players like a winger.

I dont think we could sign the both unless Lucas left. Why we was so good when we had Alonso Gerrard and Mascherano was because of the qualitys they all possesed. We used to play a

         Gerrard

Mascherano could mark ANYONE out of the game and break up play. Alonsos pasing was second to no one i have seen before. Gerrard was just Gerrard. He was the complete Midfielder would and could do everything.

With the midfielders we have now

Gerrard
Lucas
Shelvey
Henderson
Allen

It hasnt worked and the reason why we havent really been that strong this year.

Signing a player like Diame or Waynama would give us the strength Masch possesed something which we lack and has cost us.

Gerrard wont be the player he was in 2009 again. But putting him in the Alonso role is something we looked to have done like pirlo has had to do Adjust and adapt.

Looking at the top of the triangle. Henderson. He was playing so well and BR dropped him ?? His effort and work rate is amazing. Got some confidence again and I would continue to play him to the end of the season.

Looking at the defensive options is where alot of the summer i believe will b based.

Carragher retiring and rumours that Coates and Skrtel are off along with Pepe.

Firstly i feel sorry for Seb he hasnt been given his chance and at 6ft 8 or something is what we could do with in our back line.

If all 4 do leave the club then we need to find the replacements quickly.

For Reinas position looking in England id love Begovic. He is 25 years old and 6 ft 5. Reina is 6 ft 2 and 30.  Not sure how much he would set us back but apparantly 15 Million.

looking to cover 3 CBs in one go will be a nightmare especially as one will have to go into the starting 11.

Stefan De Vrij of Feyenoord is one i have heard mentioned and as a 21 year old fits in to the FSG policy of buying the potential.
The boy is 6ft 2 so taller than Carragher but smaller than both Coates and Skrtel.

Ashley williams is another the man is 28 so slightly older and 6ft 0 so very small for a CB. But he is an old player of Rodgers. I hope to god we dont go for him.

I just want someone to help us defend corners someone with some height and let Agger do all the football out of the 2 CBs.

Aslong as we keep Suarez our front line is fantastic with Suarez, Sturridge and Coutinho we look a threat.

This summer is big we need to buy smart and buy for the starting 11 aswell as boost the squad. But also selling wise

I hope and think Suarez will stay and have mentioned about the potential departures from the back.

But Shelvey is getting older and cant seem to get himself in the starting 11 that much does he need to go on loan or be sold. I think without a doubt Suso and Sterling will both go on loan next year.

Carroll is most certainly be leaving and after one season in which the guy never really played i have a feeling Assaid will be shipped out which i think is unfortunate.

At his age I'd say the £10m quoted is fair enough.  Allen cost £5m more with no CL experience (a different type of player I admit, but still a CM).  We need this type of player desperately.

I also wouldn't base any decision to sign him on 2 games... even if it was against Barca.

I wouldn't either - which is why I'm not.

What does make him stand out is the fact he does stand out by a country mile.

Everytime I have seen him play for them both in the league and in the CL he has stood out with his power and his strength and his ability on the ball. He is a quality player who will go on to become even better - at 21 he plays like an experienced pro. He is calm under pressure. He is a Sissoko with better control. He is very close to Veira both in stature and the way he plays.

He is exactly the type of player our team is missing

You must say 8 goals this season from a player played as a DCM is pretty damn impressive.
