He's only ever going to get £250k a week at one of a handful of clubs....
City, Chelsea, PSG and some of those Russian and Chinese clowns. None of those want him as far as I can see.
For half that I would like to dream that he would want to test himself in the best league in the world. He can always go to China or Russia and earn what Eto earns once he turns 32. He already will have more money than he could spend in a life time so I struggle to see the hardship in only earning £6.5m a year (£3.25m after tax).
He will have kit and sponsorship deals too so why not put playing in a decent league above silly money?
For the club, at say £125k a week, and a £8m fee he represents potential value for a world class player in his prime. Merchandise and image right stuff would play heavily in the mix for both club and player too.
I am all for signing players at 23 and seeing them develop but we need a few older heads who are ready now. Of those available, few would beat him as a signing.
A side with Gerrard, Suarez and Sneijder looks like top 4 to me.
