Rafa has been out of work for nearly two years probably because no clubs believe that Rafa is worth what Rafa thinks he is worth. I'm not even sure that there has even been any meaningful interest in Rafa. I like Rafa but his tenure wasn't without it's problems and it really is time to move on. BR has had a poor start to the league and the last day of the transfer window was a bit of a disaster. Probably not quite as big a disaster though as selling Nando for £50m and buying Carroll for £35m !! BR has got to be given time and to be honest the booing minority, the cynics and the owner haters can all do one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years 20/21 to 24/25  (10 years
are in brackets 15/16 to 24/25 )
LFC €300m (€420m)
Everton +€33m (€211m)
Arsenal €557m (€853m)
Spurs €571m (€684m)
Chelsea €945m (€1051m)
Man City €370m (€1038m)
Man United €687m (€1240m)

In your opinion...

The owners clearly had a plan for younger talent not for experience. We aren't the first club to do it, Barcelona took the step into the unknown and succeeded. The idea is clearly for Liverpool to do the same.

Don't bother refuting it as there will be no concrete proof this early into the season. Accept it numbnuts.

You win a lot for being in the CL and right now I'll take it.

Its going to be hard for us to break into the top4 this season. The top clubs are stronger this season compared to the last, and our squad is very thin. The players also has to get used to a new style of football.

NESV offer us a 'debt free' future and thats them reaching for the stars.

Debt free works for most people but surely Liverpool deserves more
ambitious lanlords who can offer a safe future and be willing to invest
some of their own money to push the project forward.

I still dont think NESV are good enough for Liverpool but people seem
content settling for second best these days.

It is reported on CNN that 23 teams have had money held back by UEFA for owing money and not holding up to Fair Play rules, one of the teams is Athletico Madrid among others. I think these Fair Play regulations will start to change the way things are done. Being Debt free may well be a huge advantage.

Arsene Whinger values top 4 as a cup though plus they have a shiny new ground which is why they went that route in the first place which I kind of admire. To be quite frank, I'd happily take a couple of top 4 finishes and some progress on our new stadium. I am actually excited by the youth - with the right kind of blend of course. Also I'll always respect le Ar5e more than doped clubs like Chavski and Shitteh because they are trying to do it organically. That is how I would like us to build too - not go the petrodollar route because we have always been a proper football club with class - not some rich Arab's plaything.. I hope FFP works because the ridiculous money from sugardaddies has ruined football. When we were the kings of the country 20 years ago, Chavski used to be a yoyo club...you could see their Ford Fiestas behind the bloody goals!!

And when KK won us the title at the Bridge, it wasn't even seen as winning it in one of the big grounds or even at a rival's place! It's weird how irrelevant clubs become rivals over time.

Man city told to stop spending,

They sponsor themselves 70million a year in a shirt deal.

Problem solved.

I read somewhere that these sponsorship deals will be scrutinised to check if they fall in line with market value.
