According to Fulham's complaint to the FA , Brendan was culpable in persuing Dempsey ................ I bet Fulham couldn't wait to sell him to Spurs (anyone but Liverpool FC judging from their reaction)

we are seriously going to struggle in the league and all cup competitions this season unless we spend big in January    letting Carol leave on loan was a big big mistake
i am totally gob smacked i wasnt a lover of Andy Carol but you would of thought there would of had some one to replace him words are beyond me 

the excuse of paying for kennys spending doesnt wash with me as it still doesnt explain why we got rid of a striker yesterday and failed to replace him today.
villa had a bid accepted this morning by fulham of 5mil cash + a further 2 in add ons and several hours later we thought we could offer 4mil and actually get him .spurs offered 6 straight and got him.thats fooking sad that we got trounced by spurs for a player again.
i dont know whether ayre fsg or rodgers made these calls but i cant wait till the explanation comes out.
surely rodgers had to of known what the situation was before he agreed to let carroll go.
its looking like amateur hour all over again.

Well... It would have been better to have another striker on the bench in Andy then not... We had no control over the transfer because clubs knew that we really needed another striker, so they could hold out on us.  If we waited to loan big Andy until after we signed another striker, we may not be in this position.

why aint everyone going mad we have 2 fu.cking strikers till january, feel sorry for rodgers i really do...

what has happened over the past couple of days borders on incompetence mate, the only reason i say  `borders` instead of outright incompetence is because i cannot believe for one minute that rodgers would allow carroll to go out on loan unless he 100% believed the owners and ayre would do what it takes to replace him. rodgers has been left high and dry.
by signing dempsey spurs achieved in an hour what liverpool fc spent an entire summer trying to do, to make us look even more incompetent dempsey spent the entire summer saying he wanted to sign for LFC and even went on strike trying to force the move through.
i dint want dempsey to sign but it takes some doing f**king that one up.

If the answer is yes, then you're wrong. He's worth exactly what West Ham are willing to pay for him.
He scored a miserable number of goals last season so I don't understand why so many of you are overreacting to him leaving on loan when he never made an impact to begin with.
And what nonsense is this about Meireles holding us to ransom? The club failed to deliver in its promise and you've got to understand that from a perspective of an employee. And I disagree with our transfer targets being leaked out. No one saw the deals with Assaidi and Yesil coming, did you?

agree damjan 193       not proven strikers who will score 25 goals a season im a bit scared about the season,  i think all the presure will be on fabio borini...

I guess we'll be seeing a lot of Borini, Sterling, and possibly Assaidi up until January.

I cannot believe these words are coming out of my mouth but Muchael Owen looks a decent option at this stage - simply because of the absolute calamity we have made out of this transfer window when if comes to our striking options.

Mate Kenny will always be the greatest legend ever associated with this club, but the lunacy that went into spending £100m, IRREGARDLESS of how much is net or gross spend, on average to mediocre British talent, is the single greatest misspending in the history of football and the fact of the matter is that whether it was Kenny or Comolli that had the biggest input that KD was at the helm when LFC embarked on the worst transfer strategy EVER. And now we are paying for the mistakes of 2011, and we may not be close to the end of having to grit our teeth patiently waiting for that period to end.
