We are paying for last summers catastrophic spending. Crazy amounts we spend on Carrol, Downing and Hendo have come back to bite us on the *****. FSG have backed BR and his spent but we need to recoup some from the shambles of last year.

i don't think they're stronger, selling Modric and VDV and replacing with two Fulham players, and Adebayor was there last season

it dont matter where they've come from fulham players or no. (We signed a swansea player who's improved our midfield)

you know things are bad when we're discussing the merits of bringing owen back.

Offer Owen 10K a week on a one year contract to be our Europa League striker. I'm guessing he would take it.

Like Beergoggles I am annoyed that Carroll has beeen allowed to go to West Ham with an option to buy him at HALF PRICE ......IF they stay up !

People jumping on the press soundbite of so called consequence of a certain KK's  "Catastrophic spending" .....................

Carroll was 35M against the 50M we received for Torres (who STILL hasn't started scoring as regular as he should).

Downing 20M and an England regular - Fair enough he has been disappointing.

Henderson circa 18M and England Under 21 Capt - He will come good. 

Adam circa 6M and sold to Stoke for break even money.

The last 2 Januarys we have dominated the transfer deadline day and the press had a field day as we apparrently panic buyed after losing Torres and then allowed Meireles to go to Chelsea after he held us to ransom.

What Im NOT happy about is how so many of our transfer targets are leaked and we end of ***** off clubs due to the amount of publicity it generates. Not good, time to draw a veil over the clubs dealings and sort out the transparent nature of our negotiations.
