With the way relations are between us an Fulham it was probably not on, Al Fayed takes any slight as personal to him and probably told Dempsey he wasn't going to LFC so either sign for Spurs or rot in reserves until Jan, especially as they had signed Berbatov

ffs we could at least kept bellamy....I just don't get BR ,even if it was managment decision he should have never agreed ,it's the abc of finance have your bases covered ,now we are exposed and fcked. (unless The 2 new german/turks turn out to be goal scoring machines...). Poor Poor Managment.

boocity your spot on mate, we put their entire pre season into chaos to the extent they complained to the F.A about us, no way were they going to sell dempsey to us (not that i wanted him to sign anyway)
what fulham did was to continue negotiating until it was too late for us to sign anyone else, then they pulled the plug on the deal, they probably think they`ve got even now.
