If we have shipped carroll out and we are banking on morgan as back up lord help us if Borini or Luis get injured.

Although I think he would be a useful addition to the squad, Dempsey isn't really a natural striker. In the formation we currently play I would see him either as cover for Gerrard or as one of the wide men, but not as the focal point of the attack. Given his lack of goals, I don't think you can say that Suarez has honed that role as yet, while Borini on first impressions looks too lightweight for that position and more suited to a supporting role. The other options are Yesil and Morgan who are about as proven in the top flight as I am. I don't doubt that there's still plenty of goalscoring potential in the squad but, after last season's goal drought, I thought that signing a clinical striker would have been one of our first priorities. I only hope it doesn't prove to be a problem as this season progresses.

the club have handled this badly, because we got rid of carroll before we brought cover in clubs know we are desperate.
we`ll end up paying through the nose for a 29 year old.

i think they`ve fined him twice for refusing to go on a pre season tour and refusing to play against norwich.

Daniel Sturridge looks like he's definitely not joining Liverpool. According to reports he turned down the move as he was only interested in a permanent deal, while Liverpool and wanted a loan move

we have had more than enough time to identify and recruit our targets during this window but yet we wait till the dying hours to sign someone who we have been linked with for months.
disapointing to say the least
