Don't mind losing Dempsey to Spurs (although he would have been a good signning) ,i just can't believe we let Carrol go without filling the gap. Real Amature stuff. Unless BR thinks Morgan is better then the least he could do is keep him as backup.

this is not good.
all that has happend today is that we have a team that needs the first 11 to be fit all year with not a day off as we dont have a bench and we dont have a striker that can get goals.

I'm really struggling to see where the goals are gonna come from. Dempsey would have fitted in perfectly into BR's system and got his fair share of goals. Apparently we offered 4m. Villa had 5m plus 2m in add-ons accepted. Surely we could have matched that?

Unless he plans to play Morgan and this new kid from Leverkusen more...bit of a risk but fair enough, the owners won't overpay for Dempsey. Credit for that too
