callejon is a very good young player who also has his whole future ahead of him. if the real madrid team wasn't full of over paid superstars he'd be one of the first names on the sheet every week. 19 million sounds like a lot of money, but then again any half decent semi established player has a 30 million price tag on his head these days. the worlds gone f*cking nuts.

i`ve never heard of him either but rodgers is quite pally with mourinho so you`d imagine mourinho wouldnt try to palm someone off on rodgers that he doesnt rate so this cajellon must be decent. i can half believe this particular rumour because i always thought rodgers would be in contact with mourinho asking his advice so maybe mourinho said to him we have a good player here who cant get into the first team and is looking for a move.
19m euro`s is what? about 16-17m quid?

cheers mate.
i suppose these days it`s not a phenominal amount of money for a player, you expect to pay that for a prospect from real madrid or barcelona.
hopefully though he`s not another one like that mexican lad spurs got from barcelona (his name escapes me at the moment). he arrived with a big fanfare but just ended up in spurs reserves.thinking about it not many of these real madrid or barcelona fringe players go on to be world beaters elsewhere. those 2 clubs seem to be good judges on who to keep and who to sell.
hopefully this lad is different.

Giovani Dos Santos is the lad you were thinking of. While you're not wrong about them usually holding onto the real stars, there has been a few decent players that have moved from Madrid and Barca and had reasonable careers..Pepe Reina, Luis Garcia, Mikel Arteta, Thiago Motta, Jordi Alba, Esteban Cambiasso, Juan Mata, Roberto Soldado for example.

Park is going to QPR from man u, and they claim they bought Kagawa for the sole reason of his ability?  I call b.s... They get another player in that can help them expand into the Asian market, so they get rid of the one they've been using for the past few years.

Just not feeling a "coincidence" here.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers steps up negotiations to make Roma striker Fabio Borini his first signing

Brendan Rodgers is close to making Roma forward Fabio Borini his first signing as Liverpool manager following lengthy negotiations in Italy.

Rodgers worked with Borini when he was a coach in Chelsea's academy and again at Swansea City when the 21 year-old came on loan to the then Championship side in March 2011, scoring six goals in just nine appearances in South Wales.

That temporary move did not lead to a first-team breakthrough at Stamford Bridge and Borini, who moved to London from Bologna as a teenager, returned to Italy after making just three senior appearances.

The Italy Under-21 international, who made his full international debut against the US in February, moved to Parma initially, but was immediately loaned out to Roma, who are believed to have an option to buy for £7 million.

Despite failing to make an impact at Chelsea, Borini has flourished on his return to his homeland and Rodgers saw enough of him at Swansea to believe he is good enough to slot into the Liverpool team on the right of a three-man strike-force.

The deal is slightly complicated by the fact Borini is co-owned by Parma and Roma, with each holding a 50 per cent stake, which means Liverpool will have to reach an agreement with both clubs to finalise the move.

I thought he was bought 100% by Roma and staying there

I got a text yesterday off my mate who sends me the team sometimes (apparantly off Carra).

He said Rodgers is going for Borini and Joe Allen.

Havent even heard a sniff from media about us going for Allen.

Good player though.

It was agreed that we would not go for any Swansea players when negotiating with them to take Rodgers so I doubt the Allen rumour is true.

he is, roma bought him outright 3 weeks ago, that journalist is way off.
you can read about it on sky sports and other news outlets, there`s even quotes from him saying he was never interested in coming here and he is 100% roma, i`d put up a few links but most have them have quotes from the s*n in their articles.

Ben Smith at BBC has said there's no truth to any of the Gaston Ramirez rumors.

This agreement has never been confirmed though has it ?

What i was text could be wrong obviously, and even if we are in for them, it doesnt mean we would get them.

I would take Allen though personally.
