I reckon Levy reads the gossip columns, sees who they say we are linked with then puts a bid in himself

the echo are saying they expect gylfi to sign for spurs, he`s already completed his medical there and now just the fine details of his contract are being ironed out. liverpool still havent 100% given up hope but they know it would take a dramatic change of heart by sigurdsson.

we`d have to be off our heads to spend £10m on dempsey. it will be dissappointing to say the least if we miss out on signurdsson because we refuse to meet his wage demands but then spend £10m on a 29 year old.
i hope i`m wrong but i`ve got a funny feeling we will sign him, i reckon the yanks want an american player at the club to help their marketing in the states.

Yes, I'll bet the delay is just to get Boas in there first so he would be his first signing

Well it seems he is destined for Spurs ,I for one am glad we can finally draw a line under this farce ...We need players who have a desire to play for this
club ,and its refreshing  Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool Football Club have refused to budge on the boost in wages Sigurdsson demanded .

Or the club refuse to pay the extra 10 grand a week to get a player the manager wants - its a sad day if we can't compete with Spurs for players.

rodgers knows the player quite well, certainly better than anyone at spurs does anyway and i`m sure if he was 100% convinced signurdsson was going to be an absolute world beater i`m sure he`d say to our owners pay him what he wants because we cant afford to miss out on him.

Is anyone actually bothered we may miss out on Sigurdsson?

Prior to Rodgers arriving no one was even talking about him! If Rodgers thinks he would be a good addition then I bow to his superior opinion, however I was not interested before and still am not fussed either way.

what if...   AVB doesn't want Sigurdsson? surely he could just now say 'no thanks'?  that'd leave Sigurdsson in a position where he may come crawling along to Anfield. I'd tell him to do one if he does.

It feels like last summer when Phil Jones snubbed us.  I guess this is something we'll have to get used to as whether we like it or not Liverpool is not the attractive option for young players it once was.

and that's the reason why BR hasn't pushed to get him.

We are strong in the middle of midfiled it's the flanks that we need to strengthen
