essien has previous as we all know, and can be a dirty fecker. but seeing as his own form and capability has fallen since a couple of horrific injuries of his own, i doubt that he'd go in to deliberately injure another professional so badly. i'm probably going to get dog's for this but its the way i see it.

I can't agree. Essiens right leg is in the tackle. The left leg comes in later, after any bodily positional movment from Andy, and Essiens studs come straight down, full force. I see no effort to pull out of it. That's my intepretation of course. There's been a debate around for a number of years as to when a footballing challenge becomes an actual assault. For me, Essiens tackle is just that, assault, and he should be charged as such.

I think if that was a Sunday League game and you were the perpetrator ,then you would have been extremely lucky if you had survived the ensuing
pummelling  to the extent that a ventilator wasn't needed .....Disgraceful tackle

Off to the Euros. Given the number 9 shirt so should be a starter as well.

Brendan Rogers is an honest guy who says what he thinks and whose leadership will be a positive step forward for Liverpool Football Club.

I also think he'll give Carroll every chance to improve and develop as a striker which is born out by his comments in that link.

Honestly, I think Carroll is going to struggle further under Rodgers. People keep saying “he isn’t bad on the floor”, but he’s not particularly good is he? At best he is average and average just is going to cut it. Let’s be honest, if he wasn’t so good when the ball is in the air he wouldn’t be anyone near a top 10 premier league club.

Wouldn’t expect him to say much else to be honest.

Back to the bench for Andy under Rogers... I have a feeling, Rogers will first strengthen the striker department. Let's be honest, a prolific striker to partner Suarez is what we need most...
